You could take Kalil there but there's no sense in it. You can get a much cheaper option in the 2nd or 3rd round and use the high 1st on another area of need. You COULD do it but it's just not done.

I'm not a fan of taking lineman other than LT or C in the first round. You can find the other positions in the later rounds or via FA. Also, Kalil would like be very unhappy being drafted to play RT. Wouldn't be worth the hassle, imo.

Wasn't there talk once of a trade involving Joe Thomas? You guys think they may try and move him for something and draft kalil?

Absolutely not lol. I knew the trading JT thing was a bunch of bs too.
  • Commander of Awesome
Same, no way we trade JT right after signing him to an extension.

I was just thinking...could you imagine how miserable this thread and any Tribe threads would be if shelbucks were still around?
  • SportsAndLady
    Shelbucks lol I remember him

I would rather have David Wilson than Richardson. If Blackmon is gone, trade rape

agree! no rb in the top 10! blackmon, rg3 or claiborne. if not trade rape like you said!

I love Chris Polk. I've got my fingers crossed for the < 1% chance he slides to the 3rd round.

The only lineman I would be happy with in the first round this year is DeCastro....guy is going to go to 8 pro bowls (barring injury)
  • Mr Miyagi
I have seen quite a few mocks where we trade down to 8 or 9 and pick Quinton Coples DE some even have us picking him at 4.......not sure i agree with this or not.....what i did find interesting is that a lot of these mocks also had the 2013 mock and having seen 5 of them they had the Browns picking 1, 4 ,6, 7 , and 8.......so the question is " what pick do you think the Browns will have in 2013 draft ?

Somewhere in the teens. ....I hope.

who knows...but with the looks of the schedule, that might be generous. I guess it depends on if they bring in a solid QB.

Agree since they don't need a LT.

And the respectable Steeler fans (Heretic. Ewok, etc) wonder why they get the stereotype names thrown at their fans on here? That clown who spammed the boards last night, trying to pimp his website, was a perfect example of an embarrassing fan...can't count to potato, can't spell, etc.

    Writeup on the defense...

Possible addition to the Browns staff is Nolan Cromwell (formerly of the Rams).

Also of interest, one of the OBR Insiders seems to think that there will be NO interest in Claiborne at #4.

Is it Blackmon or bust a 4? I think its pretty obvious Holmgren wanted Matt Barkley badly, and probably doesn't want RGIII. I would prefer to get QB in FA, if we don't, I would be happy with getting our QB of the future in the 2nd round someone like Tannenhill maybe? We need to get highly touted WRs and/or RB and/or RT with the two first round picks, for any QB to be successful.

Well, as we learned this year, schedule oviously doesn't mean shit, as they couldn't improve on their 5 win season (toughest schedule in the league) with one of the easiest schedules in the league.

So, with that being said, it is inexcusable to not show improvement next year. I honestly think the NFC East is overrated.

The AFC West, for the most part, is pretty shitty too. But who the Hell knows with these guys?

Is Tannenhill going to last to the 2nd round? I thought I have heard he will be a riser in this draft, now clearly the #3 QB prospect.

He should be a 1st rounder. When scrubs like Ponder were picked in the 1st last year, Tannehill will be this year.

If they don't go QB early in the draft, I'm definitely on board with Matt Flynn if Holmgren likes him. If they can't get an elite talent high in the draft I'd rather see someone (young, see NO Jason Campbell/Kyle Orton types) who has taken an NFL snap at QB.
