HOMER pick on Chara and Thomas. Thomas for post season sure, but for regular season take the B glasses off. -

Thomas set the save percentage record this season. He'll get it. -

Raw Dawgin' itBylsam....HOMER!
-
End of LineWho is this Bylsam you speak of? haha.
-
Classyposter58Chara has the plus minus advantage big...+33 this year which blows Weber and Nick out of the water. However Lidstrom had 62 points this year and Weber had 48. Idk I think it comes down to Lidstrom and Chara and at the end of the day whether the voters value plus/minus or points and leadership

End of LineRumor has it that Jagr is interested in coming back to the NHL. He wants to play for either of these teams.
Pittsburgh, Detroit, New York (Rangers), or Montreal. -

I like Jagr, so i really hope he doesn't go to Montreal -
gorocks99Who are the top free agents? Any guesses as to if Columbus will end up with one? I'm not holding my breath but seeing a top-flight center or goalie come on board would make me pretty happy with the franchise for the first time in a while.

ESPN will put out a list in July of all the FA and who they end up signing with -
I Am AhabDoes Jagr have anything left in the tank for the NHL? I haven't seen the guy play recently and didn't really follow his career in the NHL toward the end but I can't imagine he can make an impact on one of the teams listed. I could see him maybe going to some team who doesn't have anything else going for it, to maybe draw some kind of interest in an attempt to increase ticket sales for a while. But even that seems like a stretch.
But like I said, haven't seen his game so idk. -

Jagr had 5 goals and 4 assists in 9 games at the IIHF World Championships a few months ago. I'd say he still has the ability to be a 2nd or 3rd liner. -

End of LineJagr negotiated with Detroit and one other NHL team over the weekend, but sources say the Penguins have since been contacted by Jagr's agent, Petr Svoboda. Dialogue is ongoing. There's even a report that owner Mario Lemieux has (or will) get involved.Remove Jagr's name from the equation. Would you pay a legit top-six forward, say, $2.5m? Sure, you would. Heck, the Pens paid Miroslav Satan $3.5m. The Penguins have approximately $7.7m worth of cap space.
While Jagr's name and reputation might frighten the uneducated, it should do exactly the opposite. Jagr would return to the NHL with a chip on his shoulder, with something to prove: "There would be some people who think I'm not good enough," Jagr said. Style-wise, he'd be a perfect fit for Evgeni Malkin. Jagr is a power-play PHENOM. Sure, he's best in the right circle, just like Malkin and Sidney Crosby. But he's BETTER AT IT. Enough placating egos. Time to win.
http://www.1059thex.com/pages/markmadden.htmlUPDATE: Rob Rossi says that, everything else being equal, the Penguins are Jagr's first choice.
Make it fucking happen Shero!!!
