2011 NHL Offseason

I guess Campbell wouldn't waive his NTC. Probably good, that's a big contract for him (even though the team has the cap space).

Or not. Sheesh: Told reports that Blackhawks D Brian Campbell refused to waive his no-trade clause for #CBJ are inaccurate. This from high source in #CBJ. http://twitter.com/#!/Aportzline

    Go after Brent Burns!

Idk about the trade for Carter as the Flyers just picked up Sean Couturier. Big 6-4, 200 lb center and is doing things in the Quebec Junior leagues that only Crosby has done before. I'm tellin you guys this kid is the real deal and thats why the Flyers made the deal

Flyers have the luxury of developing an 18 year old over the next 5-6 years. Jackets don't. The franchise is in a nosedive.

Huberdeau out scored Couturier by 30 or 40pts this year. Huberdeau>Couturier

Lol more like 9? Huberdeau had 105 while Couturier had 96.

Also I agree about the BlueJackets needing to make a move. Bottomline is Detroit, Chicago and Nashville are all established and in their division and will be for awhile

Not if Nashville takes Atlanta's spot next season :). But I get what you're saying.

Oh, and LOL at the fans booing the Canadiens guy speaking in French at the draft.

I thought he scored more than that. Now I feel like a tard. My bad lol.

Brent Burns just went to San Jose for Setoguchi and Charlie Coyle, and San Jose's first round pick .. wowwwww

    That's HUGE.
  • gorocks99
Also in earlier news, Ryan Smyth is headed back to Edmonton for Gilbert Brule and a 4th round pick.

    GREAT trade for Minnesota, IMO.

Edmonton should take a defenseman here.

    Haha oh it's cool

Btw rocks, Nashville will not go east because theyre in the central time zone. The 2 teams being looked at are Columbus and Detroit. IMO Detroit goes east after next year guaranteed because of the weight the front office and the franchise carry. Lets be real here they can get whatever they want and probably will. Hopefully it happens because in all honesty that travel to the west coast is absolutely brutal on the Wings and whoever they play...especially in the playoffs

At 55 seconds I got a tear in my eye that's for sure. That goal against Team USA pretty much broke me

    Realignment
    @cotsonika
    Nick Cotsonika
NHL exec said to expect dramatic realignment in 2012-13. Four time-zone based divisions, two with eight teams, two with seven.

Ryan Smyth is finally going home!

Why wait? Move Nashville to the East and Winnepeg to the West. Hope they bring back the old names if they go to four divisions.

i still don't know if that would solve all the travel issues...i think there's always going to be two to three teams that are going to get screwed

Jeff Carter is still in pout mode. I wonder when he'll finally speak. NO MORE FOOTES.

Ha Nashville will not go east

Here's hoping CBJ can land a top d-man early in FA. I have my doubts but it would address a glaring need if they're able to get a guy that can move the puck on the PP.
