BR1986FBI also chuckle that there's a Pittsburgh Steelers 2011 schedule thread with 11 replies on it and where is the OC's resident turd posting (instead of on his supposed teams thread)? I'm tellin' ya, he's a closet Browns fan....

royal_kThat's a pretty fucked up schedule. I don't get why you would wait that long to play 2 divisional teams and than have to play them twice in a matter of 5 weeks. It doesn't make sense.

They can certainly control their own destiny in the divsion in the last 6 games if they come away from the first 10 pretty decent. -
Commander of AwesomeWhy does it feel like we play the raiders in Oakland every yr?

Because we do. It also seems like the Browns play Cincy within the first two games every year too.
I actually kind of like the fact that they don't face Baltimore/Pittsburgh until the end of the season. With a possible prolonged lockout, a new head coach, offense & defense along with a somewhat inexperienced QB, this team is going to need plenty of time to get their feet under them. -
Commander of AwesomeI can't help but think the lockout is really hurting our team's development, particually with Colt McCoy and the new offense.
-
BR1986FBExactly. I think he'll be a stud in the WCO but not being able to converse with the new coaching staff isn't helping.
A lockout isn't going to hurt teams like Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, etc because they already have coaches/systems in place and know the terminology. Most of their starters probably only need a few snaps in preseason to get the rust off. Not the case for the Browns. -
Commander of AwesomeJust looked in the steelers schedule thread, I suggest you do the same, its good for a laugh. they're already predicting SB runs.

Of course they are. Unless the Browns & Bengals step it up that should be 4 wins for them right off the bat. It's unfortunate to say, but it's true. -

Looking at it that way, it may be a good schedule. Just seems strange.BR1986FB;745724 wrote:Because we do. It also seems like the Browns play Cincy within the first two games every year too.

This is the easiest schedule they have had since Derek Anderson's one hit wonder in 2007. -
Commander of AwesomeWell its "easy" looking at it now.

BR1986FBI'm not saying they are going to go 10-6 or have a breakout year (due to the previous variables mentioned) but they ARE playing the weakest division in football (AFC West).
Nothing stays static in the NFL as I believe St Louis will be vastly improved but on paper, going off history, it's the easiest schedule they've had in awhile. I'm sure there will be a KC/Tampa Bay type turnaround from one (or more) of those teams. Happens every year. -

They are playing the NFC West and the AFC South. Fail. -

You're right. I meant to say "NFC" West. Pretty common knowledge that the AFC West isn't the worst division in football. Thanks for picking that up. -
Commander of AwesomeI got us at 15-1. 6-0 in the division, 7-0 if you count capturing a rapist as a win.

Right now, I'd probably say 4-12 to 7-9 (with some breaks). -
Commander of AwesomeI was obviously joking, I have no idea on predictions. Depends on draft/FA. We get Ray Edwards and Clabo etc... my win prediction would be more.
I honestly am not concerned with our win total this yr, I want to be sold on and settled on the QB spot. We get the QB settled and that will go a long way into improving this franchise. -

Honestly I think they are closer to 7-9 than 4-12, but you never know with these guys.
Edit: Just like last year though I think starting the season strong or at least solid is going to determine whether they are closer to 4-12 or 7-9. They need to do no worse than 2-2 before their bye. -
Art ModellI see 4 mayyyybe 5 wins. Good Luck.
-
OQBThis team needs to improve from last year......which means we need to win more than 5 games. More importantly, This year is about Colt McCoy and if he is a Franchis Quarterback, is he going to lead us for the next 7-10 years?
The wins are nice and trust me I want us to win as many games as we can, but I just feel like this year is about Colt and if he is our answer, or if we need to draft a franchise QB. -

BR quote please..... -
Pick6I can see 6-10 at worst 9-7 at best.

The way I see it, with McCoy & Wallace, they have a two year window to see if they have their QB.OQB;745928 wrote:This team needs to improve from last year......which means we need to win more than 5 games. First and foremost they need to get weapons and a strong offensive line around him. Tim Couch lacked those things hence he was labeled a "bust."
If the Browns put game breaking receivers, a strong O-Line and a competent running game around McCoy and THEN he fails, that's when you look elsewhere.
The only way I throw this scenario out the window is if he throws 2 TD's and 15 INT's.
