In this scenario, if Dareus is gone and they can't trade down, Quinn would be my pick but I wouldn't rule out Julio Jones. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if they reached on JJ Watt there either. If y'all recall, they reached last year, about 10 spots, on a 1st round corner who is looking pretty good, so far. -
wes_mantoothI have been on the AJ Green kick from day 1...god, I hope they get him. I know most of you want defense, but I just think there is a lot of depth on the defensive side of the draft this year.

Booooo !!!! -
Commander of AwesomeGreen is probably 3rd on my board, though I hate the thought of drafting a WR high, esp after reading the article on drafting a WR high which I posted earlier in the week.

OQB^that's what I'm struggling with.
Green is a great WR....but he shouldn't be drafted that high.
I really really really hope we can trade down...I think that is our best option. -
BR1986FB
I would actually probably take Julio Jones over Green. A guy that I really wouldn't mind seeing who I think could be our Desean Jackson/Percy Harvin is Jerrel Jernigan.Commander of Awesome;742271 wrote:Green is probably 3rd on my board, though I hate the thought of drafting a WR high, esp after reading the article on drafting a WR high which I posted earlier in the week. -

Just giving you the business. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Just not a Green fan. -

I agree, I think Green will be incredible. However at the same time I take a look at the best WRs in the NFL; Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald all top picks at the WR sport and their teams aren't competeing for SBs. Just not a big believer in the #1 Go TO Guy anymore, just like I'm not a big believer in a one RB system anymore. -

I won't argue that....although a I think a legit #1 can make our other receivers pretty damn serviceable. As shitty as Braylon was with drops, those double teams and safeties rolling to his side...really benefited the younger guys. -
BR1986FBTony Grossi's (Plain Dealer) latest mock has the Browns selecting Julio Jones at #6. He has Washington taking Jake Locker at #10.
Speaking of Washington, PFT is saying that they are trying REALLY hard to try to move up to get Gabbert. Coincidently, Grossi has Gabbert going at #7 to SF. -
Pick6I think I would rather have Jones than Green..I think both will be good pros. Jones is just a stud!!

That is great news for the Browns if who they really want is gone (still hoping for Peterson). They could fall back 4 spots pick up an extra pick and looks like most on here would hope to get JJ Watt with the #10 overall. -

Edwards 'Wouldn't Mind' Re-Signing With Jets
16th April, 2011 - 7:52 am
New York Post - Braylon Edwards isn't too happy with New York City, but he "wouldn't mind" returning to the Jets.
In an interview on Detroit radio this week, Edwards called his September DUI stop "BS" and said one of the reasons it got so much attention was because it happened in New York City.
"The bad thing about this situation is I never drive in New York," Edwards said.
"One I don't know where the heck I'm going and two the roads are too bumpy and traffic is crazy. I usually always have a chauffeur, but it was a random situation. I went to a teammate's event and stepped out after that. Why I got pulled over wasnt even because of erratic driving or suspicion of intoxicated driving, it was for tinted windows, which is some BS. But things happen. But you learn from it; no matter if you drive there you should have someone else drive back be at a car service, cab, a friend. Don't put yourself in that situation."

FootwedgeWould like to see the Browns draft the best available cornerback. We did well with the little dude from Florida....and now we need a bookend. A great defense starts with great CB's.
-
FootwedgeMel, the douchebag, Kiper predicted last year that Jake Locker would be the number one overall pick in this year's draft. I said it then and say it now....Huh? He must be smoking the good shit.
Jake Locker's numbers have been mediocre for 4 years. -

its too bad locker didn't come out last year. the rams could have took him and we could have had bradford. but i agree locker is a joke and i don't know how he was ever considered at top qb prospect. -

Disagree..I think it's the D-line -

Just goes to show you how putting your stock in a player who has ONE good season, and/or a good pro day/combine workout is pretty risky. If Locker was drafted the #1 overall last year, he would have been a major bust.
This is why I like drafting guys who have shown success at the College level on a consistent basis, not a player who had one great season (i.e. bowers).
SportsAndLady;743066 wrote:Disagree..I think it's the D-line
It does start with the D-Line. Two shutdown corners can not hurt though, so I would not mind peterson at all. Why not lock up our defensive backfield for years to come with Haden, Peterson, and Ward? -
FabioTo be honest, I prefer walterfootball.com's analysts when it comes to mock drafting. When I see Kiper/McShay's mock drafts, it seems like they just mock best available player for every team rather than best available at a position of NEED.

shook_17im so tired of mock drafts. i can't wait til next thursday

Fabio
Agreed. This is the first year where I feel there is no clear cut pick for the Browns. At least last year we knew it be either Eric Berry or Joe Haden. This year, you cannot pinpoint the two "go to picks"shook_17;743207 wrote:im so tired of mock drafts. i can't wait til next thursday -
BR1986FB
Because that's typically how a good GM will draft, BPA, not need. I personally think McShay & Kiper's mocks are more angled towards the players who's agents get in Count Chocula's ear hoping he'll raise their stock/rank them higher.Fabio;743198 wrote:To be honest, I prefer walterfootball.com's analysts when it comes to mock drafting.
