  So, basically, as I thought for awhile, Heckert & Holmgren provided Mangini with the rope and Mangini hung himself with it. I agree with Heckert that Harrison was "going through the motions" but who knows what happens when Hillis missed time with the injury? Maybe the Ghost sees it as his "shot" to redeem himself and takes off? He definitely would have been a nice dumpoff weapon for McCoy.
  
  The Jayme Mitchell thing is a real head scratcher if he was their best pass rusher. The D-Line gave no pass rush whatsoever. Not that rushing the passer is a big part of a 3-4 D-Linemen's expectations but anything would have helped.
  
  Still wonder why Carlton Mitchell never saw the field. Was probably our fastest receiver and from an Insider story on the OBR that I read yesterday it sounded like he had a good grasp of the offense. I know for a fact that Mitchell is busting his ass down in Florida getting ready for the season.
  
  After the fact it seems like Mangini's 2010 was Romeo Part 2 (not playing the guys that COULD have made a splash/impact).

  Good lord....some cornhole over on the OBR is trying to claim that Robiskie is a better receiver than AJ Green because of Robo's college stats. He's also saying that Robo ran a 4.37 at the Combine? C'mon now....Robisikie & Massaquoi look like they are running in cement boots. I have a better chance of pole vaulting over the Empire State Building using just my "johnson" than Robo has of running a 4.37.

  I was wondering why Mitchell didn't get any playing time too....heck when the TE and RB are your leading receivers, why not give the guy a shot.

  Should have actually seen this coming with all the "Mangini" guys he brought in from the Jets, I just don't get why a coach would continue to do so when obviously a winning now precedent has been set more than once.

  I loved the Mitchell pick up in the draft. I was big on him throughout the combine and with his raw talent I felt he would be a little risk high reward kind of guy. I can definitely see him being a Brandon Marshall type player if he realizes his true potential. All of this news about him has me excited for him.

  Could be a Vincent Jackson type deal, just takes a while for him to see the field like it did for Jackson.

  He was being compared to Marcus Colsten (sp?) Of the saints...they picked him in a late round and he had all the ability to be a great wr, just needed some coaching...its obviosuly worked out for them so we have some hope Haha

  Mitchell is a good kid. I talk to him every so often over on Facebook. Real down to Earth and pretty religious (so is former Brown, now Buc, Larry Asante). Not that religion matters as to whether a player will be good or not.

  Browns round out their coaching staff. Damn....Dick Jauron AND Ray Rhodes? A lot of experience on the defensive side of the ball....

  Not that it counts for anything, but Mitchell seems like a real stand up guy from his twitter account. Seems like he is busting his ass to make this team, so I'm rooting for him to do well.

  Let's hope with this new receivers coach he can keep on improving. I want him to be that "diamond in the rough"
  
  Receiver is a hard position to draft for a number of reasons....but let's hope we can get this group set for a nice run of success in the WCO.

  In my opinion, its so hard to consider a WR a "bust" when you draft them. If there is one single position in football tha'ts entirely dependent on another, its the WR. It doesn't matter if your a lebron james type of talent at WR, if you have no QB, it won't mean much.
  
  But I do have faith in Colt McCoy. I think it would be great if McCoy and Mitchell can develop a rapport with each other.

  Well if a guy drops passes and can't run routes the right way or can't understand/learn the offense....wouldn't he be a bust? lol Just playin a little devils advocate.
  
  I agree though, a QB can make the world of a difference with recievers....just look at the Colts and Patriots for great examples.

  That's more realistic. I was thinking no way is Robo in that "Desean Jackson/Mike Wallace" speed range.

  I actually think Robo has a chance to be a better receiver in the WCO than Mo Mas does. I saw flashes of some chemistry between McCoy and Robo last year, and I think all it will take is some more time together (and some decent coaching and play calls) to help that relationship blossom into a very productive one.

  I think he should improve because Mangini was trying to fit a square peg in a round hole making Robo & MoMass "stretch the field" type receivers when that is clearly not their skill set. The shorter possession type routes with precise route running should help Robiskie thrive.

  Holmgren and Heckert have said in the past that they thought our WRs were better than the stats shows, which at the time coming from Holmgren seemed to pwn Dumboll.

  DaBrowns posted an article he wrote on Hecket and the Eagles WR drafting strategy a while ago. It appears Green does not fit their WR mold for the WCO that heckert and co usually draft. His logic makes sense, if green is there I wouldn't be shocked if they passed even if he was the best on the board.

  I keep seeing new mocks with Peterson (LSU) falling to the Browns at #6. Have even seen a few where the Browns passed on him and Peterson was taken at #7. Can't say I'd have an issue with Dixon & Minnifield 2.0 (Haden & Peterson) back there.
