People really have no idea what freedom of speech even means anymore. He's not being arrested you ignorant fucks. Freedom of speech != freedom from consequences.
I have no issues with someone being released for their choice of words if it doesn't represent what a company has hired them for.

If it separates man from God, it's a sin....no matter the thought, word or action.
Ok well you enjoy that. Everyone else will be mocking you and your idiotic beliefs.

And save your "your mocking has no barring on my faith blah blah blah" response.

I find it hilarious that the same people (conservatives) who support businesses and deregulation now want to tell a company who they can and can't fire just because their personal religious views happen to line up with the idiot who said dumb stuff.

The "belief" is inclusive of knowing that it will be mocked. It's expected. It is Biblically written that such belief will be persecuted.

    ????

    What conservative is saying that?

If A&E doesn't want the man on their station then they absolutely should be able to release him.

He didn't say it on a show, he said it during an interview with a magazine you have to pay for. So your analogy makes no sense.

Forgive him, liberals are only able to associate with black or white issues...when things turn grey, they get confused. Phil Robertson loves God; therefore, he owns a gun, voted for Bush, hates queers, loves money, hates charity, hates black people...etc

Idiots all over the internet and my Facebook feed? Why do you feel you need to personally respond to every statement like I'm talking directly to you?

Youve got some weird persecution complex. Relax, no one cares about your hypocritical religious beliefs that you cherry picked cafeteria style from an ancient book.

Oh my god and there was absolutely no chance that it would get out into the media or that people that watch the show would buy a magazine with his interview in it! C'mon. Quit being naive. It's the price of a celebrity, and he's paying it now.

I don't feel such a need at all.

I read your post and chose to respond to it because I though it was interesting. It's really that simple.

I've no complex at all. Lol Your post made me think and thought I would ask for more information.

If no one cares about what I choose to post I am sure they'll just pass it on by.

You have to go out of your way to see it. I doubt 11 million people who watch the show would buy the magazine. He shouldn't be punished for honestly answering a question the mag asked. He didn't go out of his way to give his view.

Should A&E be "punished" by keeping him on their station if he isn't reflecting what they want out of him?

"If I owned a business and one of my employees said shit like that to my customers, you better believe I'm firing his ass whether I agree with it or not."

Nothing that guy said would not be agreed upon by 98% of the male population. And he didn't say it to a customer, it was an interview.

Different people are attracted to different things, that is diversity. I'm not attracted to blonde women. I'm not attracted to middle-eastern women. My ideal woman is a brunette with large boobs, caucasian or asian - maybe hispanic. Does that make me a bigot? I have no idea what he said was so wrong. So he prefers vaginal intercourse - so does the majority of men!

Then they should stop showing the family doing anything religious because that shit offends me. You can't show them saying a prayer then get upset when he says a view from his religion.

How about A&E go, we don't agree with the bible? Hypocrites.

It doesn't matter where he said it. If my employee said something to a client outside of work that made that client not want to work with my company, or somehow injured the reputation of my company, I'd still fire him. That's my right as a business owner.

Youre acting as if people can't be held responsible for things said outside of work when in fact it happens all the time.

I think the part where he said "homos are the equivalent to fucking animals" is where he lost everyone

Ok - so you're firing him because he's expressing an opinion from religious beliefs? I'd sue the shit out of you and win.

    Why is everyone retarded?

Your customer base is consumers of media. Quit looking at it like a fucking dumb robot that doesn't understand context.

"Beep boop magazines and television are two different forms of media. Does not compute that the general public consumes all forms of media."

I disagree. They should show whatever it is they want and restrict what they want. They already do that to a degree.

If they want to be hypocritical, they should even be able to do that.

If they don't like this giuys comments no matter where they were made, they should be made to keep televising him for any reason at all if it's not what they want.

Their ratings ad revenue will determine if their decision was the right one.

Actually, that you'd win is far from guaranteed.

There were rumors that A&E had at least attempted to pursue having the prayer cut out, but were told no, don't know if it's true or not.

Either way, the whole situation is simple. Phil has the right to say as he wishes, and A&E as a private company has the right to react as they wish to it. Just because one has the right to say something doesn't mean there still may not be consequences.

What makes you think you could win such a case with such confidence?
