    up to level 50!

PROTIP: When you have (either by enchantment or by finding) a weapon that auto-soul traps enemies, be careful when you use it. Because it really fucking sucks when you charge it before entering a dungeon, only to fight very little besides low-level Draugrs and the occasional spider (until the boss room, which had some Draugr Wights and the resurrected version of a king)...which leads to you finding that those dozen common, greater and grand gems are all filled with petty and lesser souls. FML...

    Lol duh.

Havent played at all this weekend as I was out of town. Planning on putting in a few hours tonight. Maybe I'll finish the dark brotherhood.

Fimnally got my dragon armor, pretty sweet. Now I wish my enchanting was higher rank.

I'm up to level 40, dragon armor, and I still get my ass handed to me by frost mages. I think next set of Armor I smith I will enchant with frost resistance.

I'm a Nord, so frost mages are no problem to me. Now the ones who send out those exploding fireballs take me to Murderville regularly. But if not for guys like them, my sneak and archery would both be a lot lower.

I did find an actual glitch last night. If you do the two Markarth quests that lead to you breaking out of their mine/jail AND do so in the way that leads to you backstabbing the Forsworn leader and siding with the town asshole (don't know about if you side with the Forsworn leader), don't go back to the town's Temple of Talos. That's where you get arrested and the game keeps the guards there (the script apparently never removes them from there). If you go back, you get the "you're arrested" dialogue again, but since you've already been to the mine/jail for that quest, they then just attack you, which I'd guess would set things up where you'd be stuck with bounties.

Yeah I found this out the hard way. Thankfully I had a previous save right before entering the shrine so I could go back. The Farnsworth Conspiracy I believe the quest is called. I'm waiting for a patch to be released that fixes the glitch before I go back in there.
  • Heretic
Yeah. Not a big deal for me unless a quest would tell me to go back to that temple for some reason, but kind of weird. Getting arrested to do the "Escape from Cidlna Mine" or whatever is supposed to happen eventually. Having the guards stay in the temple to assault you whenever you enter it is another.
  • Commander of Awesome
Oh I didn't think about that. If a fix hasn't been released by the time I beat the game (including all the side missions) I was planning on fighting them then taking care of the entire town. We'll see which comes first.

An easy fix for that is to do all the StormCloak missions because you eventually take Markarath
  • Commander of Awesome
I chose Imperials, if I do another playthrough I'll do the stormcloaks.

From what I read, there are ways to "fix" that bug if you have money to burn.

Mainly...killing the guards who still are in the Chapel of Talos and then surrendering in town to someone and paying the 2-grand bounty you'll have for killing them. Which I guess I could do if I needed to be in that chapel for any reason. Which I wouldn't know what that is, unless there is another quest that makes you go there, since there's another chapel in the same town for disease-curing and whatnot.

Finished the Dawnstar museum quest last night. I found the daedric god to be pretty funny, along the quest I came across the ghost of a young girl (ccrunner would have been excited no doubt). I talked to her and then I have to find her at night (playing hide and go seek?). Weird for sure.

Oh I see, not a bad way around I suppose. Perhaps next time I'm in that town I'll give it a whirl.

I thought that was getting old too, and then I took an arrow in the knee.

    sorry.

My favorite is how the guards occasionally mock you with the "are you going to report your sweet roll being stolen" line. But if you steal someone's fucking sweet roll, they'll be slamming a battle axe into your head before you even get one bite!

And last night, I achieved one of life's greatest goals -- becoming a cannibal to please Namira. Which gives me a ring that allows me to get health bonuses for eating human flesh. My character = the world's most noble hero.

Well I shall be looking that quest up! One thing I like about the Daedric missions, they're always a bit messed up. In the Pieces of the Past quest, the museum "curator" has been loyal and unwavering in his dedication to restoring the daedric lord's sword. He seeks out the pieces of the sword, brings them to the shrine, etc... His reward? Death by my sword at the the command of his master. I'm rewarded with the sword.... and then have to fight 2 daedric warriors he sends.

And even the "good" Daedra are bitchy. Like with Meridia's quest, when you bring the beacon and she tells you to spread the light from it through her temple, if you said you'll be glad to do it, her response is along the lines of "OF COURSE YOU WILL FOR I HAVE COMMANDED IT!" I'm like...damn, bitch! No wonder no one comes to your fucking shrine...

I do have to admit being a bit disappointed with Sheogorath's quest. After doing the Shivering Isles, I was expecting a bit more than three weird little wabbajack-related minigames combined with hints that Shivering Isles is actual Elder Scrolls canon, making your Champion of Cyrodiil from Oblivion the new Sheogorath (he mentions knowing Martin, for one thing).

Molag Bal's was awesome, though. Clavicus Vile's was entertaining. I liked Vaermina's but fucked up getting the Oblivion Walker achievement because I did the "good" method of doing it and didn't get a Daedric prize because of that (you have to get rewarded by all of them to get the achievement and I let the priest destroy her skull). Meridia's was reasonably fun, as was Namira's and Hircine's. I have 2/3 of Mehrune's sword pieces and still have to finish Azura's. Which still leaves a lot of them to find (think there's 16 or 17 in the game). Whenever I make my way back to the east side of the map, I have Boethiah's Shrine marked, now, so there's one of them.

Now my xbox keeps freezing while im playing...Fuuuuuck. the xbox is only a few months old and the game is only a few weeks old.
  • Commander of Awesome
Yeah I'm worried about the daedric missions, I think I sold skull one by accident. Pisses me off now that I think about it, but with the economy at the time, times were tough and I didn't have a house to store it. Molag Bal's quest was awesome. I liked his attitude.

Like, persistent freezing anywhere or just in certain areas? While playing, I've run into two places where the game's frozen a lot. A bandit camp on the road between between Dragon Bridge and Karthwasten caused the game to freeze 3-4 times before I just sprinted by it and didn't stop for anything. And when doing the dwemer ruins attached to Markarth's castle, it froze a couple times on loading screens while moving between sectors.
