Ya know...those are my addictions too! Wait, do they make Diet Coke Zero? I thought a Coke Zero was just that? I need to taste a Cherry Coke Zero...Cherry Coke is real good.

I think a Diet Dr. Pepper tastes soooooooo good.

Another interesting pepper idea, minus the bread of course...

  • Sonofanump
I need more peppers than that.

I've done eggs like that. I like to cook my eggs with a pepper and an onion. It's colorful and fun...so my wife would say.

Wish I lived in Ireland. Incredible food quality. I went off the rails for about a week and very little changes. I attribute it mostly to having quality meat, fats and even other stuff which I hadn't eaten in over a year (bread) that was of the highest quality.

Eggs in Avocado...tip of the week.

Took a large red pepper, cut it in half and "baked" an egg in each half at 350 for 20 minutes. Fantastic. Cooked just perfectly and cut with a knife like butter.

Here's Men's Health making people believe they created the lean gains diet. They call it - The 8 hour diet.

This sounds great. I'm going to try this out at some point this week or next.

My wife and I are starting to get real serious in cutting out all the crap food from our diet. We've found a service that will deliver a box of fruits and vegetables from local farms to your door every week. It's not super expensive and would essentially cut out the need for us to ever go to the grocery store. We've found a local poultry farm that sells free range chicken and their prices weren't bad ($2.25/pound for a whole chicken, $5.00/pound boneless breast). I've been buying our Thanksgiving turkey from them for a few years now and they are always delicious so I'd guess the chicken is good. We're going to stop by this weekend to stock up on a month or so worth of poultry. We already have a freezer mostly full of grass-fed beef. Now I just need to find a local farm that offers grass-fed pork.

That's pretty cool. I bet it is pretty helpful when you have a wife who is on the same page and taking it as seriously. Does this mean you are going to cut out beer?

It's definitely nice that she's on the same page. I don't drink much anymore anyway, usually just a beer at a ballgame maybe once a week and then a few random weekends throughout the year. Now that we've started doing CrossFit and are planning to join the gym after our groupon's are up I'm going to have to cut back on my "illicit" activity for sure, though.

Justin should get some heavy use out of that infrared turkey fryer with all of those chickens. :D

Hooked up with some bison jerky yesterday from Whitefeather Meats for my afternoon snack.

    BR, is rice considered Paleo?

Not really but unless you're super hardcore, I'd think it would be ok as a postworkout meal on heavy lifting days. I usually will eat a sweet potato after my LeanGains fast on weight training days but have been mulling over adding rice periodically too.

That's my problem with Paleo; it's hard to get calories so rice was my solution to that problem.

There's a guy named Nate Miyaki (Google him) who is an advocate of a semi-paleo type diet. He goes higher carbs but doesn't advocate the oats, breads, etc...mainly just rice. Dude is pretty diced.

Paleo can be defined by the individual. If you're an active individual without blood sugar issues, rice is considered a "safe starch," to quote Paul Jaminet.

It's perfectly fine post-workout if you want to capitalize on increased insulin sensitivity and glucose uptake.

Yeah, I plan on using the fryer quite a bit with the whole chickens. Should be delicious.

    Bison jerky sounds awesome, too.
