Azubuike24Is there really a freaking thread on this? Wow. I've been doing it for over 6 months. Insane results. I just browsed almost this entire thread...pretty much where I spend all my time during the day browsing, reading, listening to Podcasts, etc. Even going back to school to get a M.S. human nutrition. Sweet to find some other OC'ers living Primal!

birddog23Started my intermittent fasting up again this week on a primarily 75/25 paleo diet. Will be strength training 3x a week and hopefully gain muscle and become leaner. My workouts consists of:
Monday - Deadlifts 3x, Leg Extensions or Press 3x, Chin ups 3x, and either DB or barbell curls x2. All with 3-5 minute rest in between
Wednesday - Bench Press 3x, Pull Ups x3, Calf Raises, and usually mix one more thing in. Once again 3-5 minutes rest in between
Friday- Back Squat 3x, Walking Lunges 3x, Overhead Press 3x, and work on Triceps 2x. 3-5 Min rest in between -

Does this mean 75% of the time you eat paleo, 25% of the time you do not? What do you eat the other 25%?birddog23;1048285 wrote:a primarily 75/25 paleo diet. -
I Wear PantsI'm trying to move towards eating more paleo like. Bit hard when no one else in the house does.

Correct. Love my cheese and milk. Been getting better at cutting back on both but I'll have a little here and there.Sonofanump;1048559 wrote:Does this mean 75% of the time you eat paleo, 25% of the time you do not? What do you eat the other 25%? -

My strict diet actually exist with diary. I consider it to be part of the Pious tier. Not Paleo in the strict sense, but it really works for me. Probably my biggest variation from Paleo. I think I am near 80/20, still have occasional whole wheat flour and brown rice if it meets with the family’s dinner plans. </SPAN></SPAN>birddog23;1048595 wrote:Correct. Love my cheese and milk. The only meal I eat at home is dinner and the family will eat what I do as dinner is usually meat, fat & veggies. If they want something else I tell them to cook it. Since I'm the "chef" they usually eat what I cook.I Wear Pants;1048593 wrote:I'm trying to move towards eating more paleo like. Bit hard when no one else in the house does. -

OSHI am not doing the Paleo, but I have been doing the 4-Hour Body since Monday.
Things are going good. Turkey bacon is excellent. I fell in love with Sriracha sauce (Thai chili sauce). A lot of eggs. Need to get more legumes and veggies in my diet.
I haven't drank anything but water for 4 days. -

Why no lamb?BR1986FB;1058697 wrote:That's the two things I won't eat, veal or lamb. -

It kind of seems like a hoax. Keep reporting on it though.OSH;1058709 wrote:I am not doing the Paleo, but I have been doing the 4-Hour Body since Monday.

OSHIt seems like a hoax? I have never heard that. Our school's athletic trainer is a huge fan of Tim Ferriss and some of his methods for helping athletes recover. But, I'll let you know, for sure.
In the four days I've been on it, I've lost 5ish pounds. Feeling good. I am going to start doing more exercise next week. It's been rather hectic getting back in the swing of things after some travel at the beginning of the year (Florida and KC for a week each). So, I'll start some kettlebell swings and ab exercises Tuesday, hopefully. I can definitely say that I have been eating a lot healthier than before. That helps big time.
