Started week 3 of my second round of Wendler 5/3/1. Am now using a new bench press stance. Got 8 reps on my last set of 1 rep. This new stance is a bit awkward and will take some getting used to but it's going to alleviate a lot of stress on my front delt.

New protein pancake recipe from one of my buddies on MyFitnessPal:

    4 whole eggs
    3 scoops protein powder
    dash of baking powder

Was surprised how tasty and NOT dry these were. Also had some Kerry Gold butter on them. Much better than Robb Wolf's & Mark Sisson's and so simplistic.

    Broke down to:

    930 calories
    102g protein
    47g fat
    9g carb

Were you eating the protein for like four people?

It made 5 pancakes. My first meal of the day, after a 16 hour fast, is usually mammoth. At least 900-1400 calories.

What I mean is, are you pregnant?
  • BR1986FB
    Not currently.

My lunch today after my fast was...

    1.5 ounces almonds
    2 eggs
    3 ounces baby carrots
    1lb ham
    2 paleo muffins.

I used to split this into two seperate meals but have been eating it as one big meal lately and I now eat two meals a day vs 3.

Recipe time....dude on my Facebook came up with a pizza recipe that I'm going to try this weekend. He posted pics and it looks awesome.

4 scoops whey protein (ON makes a flavorless whey called "Any Whey" for cooking)
    1 packet yeast
    1/4 c water

Mix this for the crust and spread out on a pan that has been sprayed down. Pop in the oven like a normal pizza to get the crust going.

From there, add your sauce and toppings. I'd probably go with tomatoes, mushrooms, black olives, etc. Not sure meat is necessary as this has 100+g's of protein. Very low carb and NO grains.

Tell me how that tastes as that seems like it could be good.

Did I mention how ridiculously good these things were? Experimented by adding 1/2 cup of pumpkin and topped with 1.5 cups of unsweetened applesauce (vs syrup...postworkout on lifting days to increase carb intake). I literally attack that shit like a rabid wolf after my fast. Gotta get a waffle maker and experiment with protein waffle almond butter "sandwiches." You'd never guess these things weren't made out of flour.

    Any protien powder work?

I'd recommend vanilla but strawberry could be interesting. Optimum Nutrition makes a flavorless, which I'm going to get for the pizza, called 'Any Whey." Right now the Body Fortress vanilla is working like a champ.

i have a vanilla now. I just didn't know if it mattered on the brand or whey vs casin or something like that.

Should be fine. Just make sure you use 4 eggs to 3 scoops and don't forget the baking powder. Tweak it to the batter consistency you like. I cook mine on the griddle in coconut oil and top with the Kerry Gold and syrup or applesauce. I prefer applesauce and only eat this on lifting days as low impact cardio days are <50g's of carbs.

Would the sandwich I posted in the lunch thread qualify? :)

Not unless that thing that looked like bread that was surrounding that pork was made out of meat.

Just put down a big ass salad with a fresh avacado. First good one i've found in a month or so.

Where do you (probably BR or IWP because they are the only ones that read this thread) get your eggs? I have been trying all the veg fed brown eggs at Mustard Seed and I only got one brand where the yolk is noticably darker than all the rest. (although I can't remember the brand) I am currently eating some pastured eggs from a clinton ohio farm I got for 2.99. I thought the pastured part provided the darker yolk, but it was not.

I relate the darker yolk to pastured chickens and higher omega 3s... for some reason.

I'm off to cook my eggs in coconut oil. Peace.

I put my daily 3 eggs in Kerry's Gold. Yum.

Buy them from a farm if you can. You can get the Omega 3 enriched at the store too.

    A farm.

    Hope this helps.

But seriously, I just get them from a local farm.
