Notre Dame Football 2010.......The Brian Kelly Era Begins

  • karen lotz
Yeah, his coach had no clue either:
"I was very shocked," he said. "I felt like I'd been hit by a ton of bricks."

Where did you see that about his visit? The link I posted just says he was trying to get a visit worked out?

I do agree with your comment on Meyer also.

    Justin Trattou part 2.....

I read it on irishenvy.com on his recruiting profile. Aaron Lynch's mom said it.

Is Pryor going to win the Heisman this year and come back next year to win his second National Championship? You are just as guilty as any Notre Dame fan of being delusional.

    Prestwood = nole

    Clay Burton = Gator

Has Prestwood committed again or are you just guessing on that?
  • karen lotz
Calabrese and Floyd are listed at starters on the depth chart this week while Ian Williams is not listed at all. Sean Cwynar is listed as the starting nose guard. I'd assume Kelly will reveal the results of Williams' MRI tomorrow at his press conference.

Guessing, he was at the UF /Miss St game. He'll be in Tally Nov.6, both unofficial. Planning both officials after the season. Almost everyone I know is saying Prestwood is a nole, or may still land in South Bend.
    Burton just switched today.
  • karen lotz
Ok. He is also planning on taking a visit to ND too so I was just wondering. Hopefully he waits until he takes all of his visits this time around regardless of where he ends up going.

Filed to ESPN: ND DL Ian Williams out 4 to 6 weeks with torn MCL knee
  • killer_ewok
Damn. I feel for him. Our defense obviously just took a huge hit and they couldn't afford to lose a player like Williams. At least it's not worse and he could be back for a bowl game should we qualify for one (and should we choose to accept it, might as well get that out of the way).

Would 4 weeks have him back for USC?
  • karen lotz
Yeah USC is 5 weeks away, so he could be back for it. I've said quite a few times on here that Williams had been the best and certainly most consistent player for Notre Dame this year. I feel horrible for him considering the changes/improvement he made over the last year. Tenuta banned him from defensive meetings last year following the Navy loss because he said the Irish defense was out schemed by Navy.

No. Delusional is thinking something is going to change after 20 years of mediocrity. Ohio State did have a great chance of winning a National Championship and Heisman, unlike ND who'll be lucky to make a bowl much less win won. It's pretty sad ND's next "successful" season will be beating Michigan or someone halfway decent, how does it feel to root for a terrible team year in year out?

Like I said, enjoy your bowl loss, I know I will.

You're going to enjoy your bowl loss?

 I thought you predicted that ND wasn't even going to a bowl--make up your mind!!!

    Lol

Theo Riddick out at least 3-4 more weeks. Floyd will practice this week and barring any setbacks should be a go for Saturday. Also, Ian Williams has an MCL sprain, not tear as originally reported.

I predicted 6-6 with a bowl loss should they choose to accept it. We all know ND is too good for the Toilet Meinke Bowl Brought to you by Compuserve Bowl
  • sjmvsfscs08
I surely wasn't "skaing my head" after the 1-3 start. The Navy loss was far harder to take than any of those three; they didn't look bad in those losses.

Ian Williams out, Theo Riddick out, Kyle Rudolph out, Michael Floyd hobbling, Taylor Dever hobbling, even Slaughter and Jones aren't 100%. Can I get a "WHAT THE FUCK?" hahah

I don't care if it were Tulsa or ol' Stritch High. I'm not looking forward to this Saturday. Notre Dame should be able to run the ball well and have an offense with Floyd back. But losing Ian Williams was HUGE. They have a 1% chance of beating Utah without Riddick, Rudolph, and Williams. Three of the best players on the team gone. They need to beat Tulsa somehow and get into that bye week for some rest.

    ^^^^^

Calabrese was in shorts and helmet at practice today as well.
  • Speedofsand
Rough times for sure. Lots of fans don't realize that having a new staff rarely means immediate 10 win seasons. Pile on a bunch of injuries and it looks much worse than it really is.
  • rock_knutne
Boy there are some real fucking morons who post on the ND threads.
