Notre Dame Football 2010.......The Brian Kelly Era Begins
-
karen lotzabout 24 hours to kickoff. Wish I was in South Bend...
-
vball10set^^^did sjm end up getting a ticket?
-
karen lotzummm from what I recall he was going to head to the Bend without one and try to find one there. Haven't heard if he has or not.
-
karen lotzKelly will announce gameday captains tonight at the Pep Rally. Should be an awesome experience for those selected. und.com will stream video of it for anyone not going to HS football games tonight...

What time? -
j_crazywish i could watch the game tomorrow (damn DISH network won't let me have NBC). should be a great game, i'll be pulling for the B10, but wouldn't be surprised if UND pulls it out. you can never tell with a new coach coming in, but i expect UND to put up some big numbers this year.
-
killer_ewokI can't wait for tomorrow!
GO IRISH!!!! -

sorry, it was on at 7. They put up a link on the site where you can watch it now if you missed it early. Apparently the team will not run out through the tunnel, but will instead walk through the student section. Awesome. -
karen lotzI'm watching the Brian Kelly radio show online and one of the viewers just asked: "There are a few coaches who have set fashion trends in college football. Tressel has the sweatervest, Stoops has the visor. What can we expect to be your signature look?" Without pause Kelly replied "It won't be a hoodie." Pretty good stuff.

My bad, was caught up in JS2. Pick, don't ever slip up on your grammar again. -
karen lotzMichigan weekend wasn't a complete loss. ND picked up two commitments...twin brothers and sons of former NFL player George Atkinson, George III and Josh.
-
sjmvsfscs08Solid pickups. Notre Dame needs a few more of their wanted prospects and they'd finish with an outstanding class.
-
karen lotzScout has ND's class ranked #6 at the moment with 18 commitments. There will be two more open scholies with the transfer of Roback and Shaq Evans.
-
sjmvsfscs08I can't believe they're so highly ranked with one five-star player and an average of 3.33. The average isn't screaming national championship orders, but it's absolutely acceptable with Notre Dame's position.
If Notre Dame could grab a few of these guys, it would solidify a top-5 recruiting class:
Wayne Lyons - 4* S............it'll be tough grabbing him out of Florida, but apparently his mom favors South Bend.
DaVarias Daniels - 4* WR......................if his ACT gets up, he's 100% Irish
Steven Tuitt - 4* DE..................Georgia Tech vs. Notre Dame, ND needs to win increase their chances
Ishaq Williams - 4* DE..............he's got a 'bama offer, that's tough to go against
Savon Huggins - 5* RB.............we're in his top 5, but he's been mostly quiet
Christian Huggins - 3* ATH/TE.........he's wanting to be a business major, that automatically favors the Irish. While only a 3*, he runs a 4.5, is 6'6 and claims a vertical leap of 37'', you can't coach that.
Obviously the best thing Notre Dame can do in recruiting right now, is win. It was pretty apparent the Atkinson brothers knew Notre Dame had a competent coaching staff on Saturday and committed after a fluke injury loss anyway. It reminded me of Te'o visiting for the Syracuse game and committing regardless. Must be something about Greg Robinson handing us losses. -
sleeperGotta love ND fans. Lose to Michigan, and you're already thinking about next year. LOL

I'm thinking about Michigan State. -

Indeed, players who committed after a game last weekend shouldn't be discussed on a 2010 Notre Dame thread. Thanks. -

Why would you be thinking about losing to Michigan State and not the GREAT recruits you just picked up?
Oh that's right, because those recruits never pan out anyways. -
WebFireFWIW, I think ND beats MSU by 2 touchdowns.
