You've won one bowl game in 20 years, maybe you should start to listen to non-ND fans. You're recruits are garbage, enjoy the Hawaii bowl this year! -

Even though its still not enough, ND has won 5 bowl games in the past 20 years. -

Oh my bad, an NCAA record 9 consecutive bowl losses in that span... The tradition, the prestige, the legendary Notre Dame football...

killer_ewokGuys, just let him go. This is what he does.

George III's highlight video. Not bad. -

Yeah III was the more sought after recruit with a pretty impressive offer list. His brother isn't a slouch, hopefully Kelly and Co can coach him up. -

Couple stories about the Atkinson commitments, sorry about the format, I saw these on my phone.
Some interesting quotes:
"they really like Brian Kelly, the head coach, and academically, it's tough to beat Notre Dame. It's further away but that's all right since every game is televised and I'll be watch them every weekend."
"We took a lot of trips and for a while, I thought they were going to go there separate way," Atkinson Sr. said. "George really liked Alabama and Josh liked Miami a lot. They both liked Oregon but Notre Dame really blew them both away."
"College should be one of the greatest times of your life and I think Notre Dame will be just that for both of them. They made this decision on their own and I tried not to get too involved because I've seen what happens when a player picks a school for other people and not himself. This was 100 percent what they wanted to do and there won't be any other official visits. They're committed all the way to Notre Dame and can't wait to get there.""I'm real excited; I'm happy it's all over," Josh said. "We got to do a lot of things and meet a lot of people. We had a great time. Meeting the fans, getting to know the coaches a little bit more and the players, and just the whole atmosphere about Notre Dame was just positive."
Added George: "It was great to see how many fans were there. I was surprised afterwards how many fans were still there doing the [alma mater] after the loss. I was surprised with the fan base and how committed they are. That's good to know and see." -
karen lotzStephon Tuitt, a defensive end from Georgia committed to Notre Dame tonight. He made his official visit last weekend. #1 ranked strongside defensive end in the country and #22 overall. Great get by Kelly.
"I didn't expect the visit to go so well," said Tuitt. "It went really well. I saw things I never thought I'd see. Just looking at the campus and seeing all the history was great." -
sjmvsfscs08FUUUUUCK YES!!!
-
killer_ewokVery nice.
He'll get bumped up to 6 stars and will be #1 overall now too! -
-Society-1-2 record. Keeping the tradition alive.
-
killer_ewokI'm imagining ND being the beneficiary of such a call. The outrage would be tremendous.
-
killdeerlet the search for the next ND 'savior' begin............
-
Big GainBy being bamboozled by Mark Dantonio. A TERRIBLE call. With the field goal attempt being that long you call for the defense that protects against a 2 point conversion...NOT the block formation.
-
karen lotzBruce Feldman just tweeted 4* WR DaVaris Daniels has committed to Notre Dame.
-
sjmvsfscs08He did indeed, he must have raised his ACT score.
This class is ranked #2 on Scout, #3 on Rivals. ESPN hasn't updated since September 16.
The good thing about this, and kudos to Kelly, is that it's loaded with speed and has some absolute studs at DE/OLB. If Notre Dame can snag Christian French and Wayne Lyons, this class will remain top five in February. If they get Ishaq Williams with those two, it's probably the second or third-best class behind Texas and Alabama. Just loaded with defensive speed and size.
I'm pretty excited to see what Diaco can cook up with this talent that will actually be developed and trained properly. -

sjmvsfscs08Notre Dane needs speed, they said this George Atkinson III was fast....but this is just ridiculous. This kid is going to be outrageous as a WR for the Irish, but he would probably be more useful as a S.

karen lotzOL recruit Jordan Prestwood has decommitted from ND and will reopen his recruiting. He will now consider Florida and Florida State. He was the 2nd commitment of the class and made his announcement in April. He said ND is still in the mix and is trying to get a visit scheduled.

sjmvsfscs08Well I take a few things away from that. 1)Brian Kelly says his commitments are not allowed to visit other places, otherwise they shouldn't commit. So his decommitting maybe he just wants to look around. 2) The OL shelf is 1000% better than it was under Willingham's days, it actually has some depth, which hasn't been the case all decade. 3) Notre Dame offered another OL, so maybe they knew this was coming. 4) Room for more DB commits, Notre Dame needs them.
-
sjmvsfscs08Also, he is still visiting Notre Dame, and he's doing so with probably the biggest Notre Dame commit since Te'o, Aaron Lynch. Lynch is also from Florida.
Apparently Notre Dame had no idea this was going on, and neither did the guy's own parents. We shall see what happens. To me this reeks of Urban Meyer being a scoundrel.
