Notre Dame Football 2010.......The Brian Kelly Era Begins

Navy football has been synonymous with dirty play since they've become relevant again. Perhaps he was annoyed with guys doing moves that can tear ACL's? I remember back in my wrestling days when John Smith singles were legal but somewhat frowned upon. Ever tackle a guy like that? I had. Their knees are done for six months. I'd get pretty fucking pissed if I were playing Navy. That said, they still needed to win that game and he should not have reacted in that manner. It's over, get over it. When the opposing coach, who is a rival, says it's not important...it's a bonafide non-issue. -

Link the two-deep if you could please.
I heard Kona was a monster, but this is the right move by Kelly. The DE's/OLB's coming in this season can bury any player on the depth chart. Tuitt, Lynch, and Rabasa are going to destroy people. -

You are a gentleman and a scholar. haha
Goodman has never impressed me, am I wrong on thinking this? He had that nice touchdown last year in cleanup time, but nothing since. I don't like how he dances around, he isn't a juker, get up the field. Personally I'd start Kamara over Goodman. -
karen lotzKamara and Goodman play different positions. I'd like to see more of what Bennett Jackson can do. Obviously he is a bit more behind knowledge wise but I think he has earned some time with his special teams play. Goodman is still the best option for that receiver spot and is usually reliable with his hands.

karen lotzWhat I'd really like to see is a healthy Jamoris Slaughter.

sherm03Is McCarthy still injured?
Its got to be an injury. That's the only thing I can think of as to why Dan McCarthy can't start over either Zeke Motta or Harrison Smith. Those two are absolutely terrible...yet they continue to get the nod week in and week out. They have to be the best practice players ever...because they are rat-shit horrible on Saturdays. -
Con_AlmaHowell's response and gesture to Neal is outstanding...but I shouldn't be surprised.
I agree that it's a non-issue. -

I hate Harrison Smith more than my worst enemy. -

Need I say more to prove my point about the dumb fucking morons who troll these threads? -
karen lotzThe student has been identified as Declan Sullivan. He made this post on his facebook before heading to practice:
Terrible.Gusts of wind up to 60mph well today will be fun at work...I guess I've lived long enough :-/ -
dat dudeMan, that is terrible. Unreal.
-
karen lotzHe made another post from his phone while he was up in the tower.
Holy fuck holy fuck this is terrifying. -
sjmvsfscs08Wow that's terrible. Why weren't they inside with winds at 51mph? Besides, I bet OSHA wouldn't advise being in one of those lifts with those winds. Pretty fuckin' tragic.
-
sherm03Wow...that is so sad! Prayers to Declan's friends and family.

karen lotzInteresting perspective from a former ND student manager. http://www.ndnation.com/boards/showpost.php?b=footballid=146604;d=this
I wanted to say something similar about how he probably wasn't forced up there by Kelly or anyone else but didn't want to face the wrath on here that would have been sure to follow. -

I don't have a problem with that at all. If I'm in that tower and it falls and I die, I would want my favorite team to get the job done on the field and stop worrying about me. There's nothing they could do at that point, I'm already gone.
