reclegend22Virginia Tech and Boston College are now both coach-less. Wake Forest is presumably next.
Early rumblings are that Tommy Amaker, who coaches just a frisbee toss away in Cambridge, could be in line to succeed Steve Donahue at B.C. It'd be and interesting hire, especially considering it would mean two of K's proteges coaching alongside him in the ACC (along with Mike Brey at Notre Dame).
Like Pete Carril at Princeton, Amaker has built a really good thing at Harvard. The Crimson have averaged 24 wins per year and reached the NCAAs three times in Amaker's last five years at the helm. He might be happy there. -
birddog23Amaker won't go there. He's already got it made at Harvard. If he wants the Duke job when Coach K retires he will stay at Harvard and wait. He's basically a lock to get into the tourney every year with Harvard anyway.

Manhattan BuckeyeNC State is looking pretty good right now, I'll admit I was a doubter aside from Warren but that team has talent.

It appears to be a Chinese, Korean or Vietnamese cheerleader. I don't know who it is, but not really my type. Probably why I didn't go to Duke (also grades lol)Manhattan Buckeye;1593411 wrote:Reclegend, who the heck is this?

Manhattan BuckeyeLooks Korean to me, but could be Hawaiian, and negative reps for not bringing her up earlier. She is gorgeous.

Also, she appears to be a duke cheerleader you retard. -
Manhattan BuckeyeYeah I know, Duke cheerleader, who would think?
--edit, and I still want negative reps for Recslegend, he's been holding out -
Azubuike24@DanWetzel Buzz Williams will leave Marquette to become the next coach at Virginia Tech, Y!Sports source.

reclegend22Rumors are that Jim Calhoun is pretty serious about returning to coaching.
As Wildcats reported yesterday, it appears that B.C. is not interested, so that probably crosses them out. Though I hate Calhoun with a passion, just think about this: Mike Krzyzewski, Roy Williams, Jim Boehiem and Jim Calhoun. Even at Calhoun's advanced age, that'd represent the best collection of coaches in college basketball history for one conference. Ten national titles and 26 Final Fours between them.
With the ACC as a destination likely ruled out, I could see Calhoun landing at a low major somewhere in the northeast, similar to Billy Tubbs restarting his career at Texas Christian in the late '90s. -
wildcats20@franfraschilla BC's coming hard after Tommy Amaker by promising same facility renovation he got at Michigan.
I hope he stays at Harvard. -

I have my suspicions that Amaker is waiting for the Duke job, so I would love it if he went to Boston College. While Amaker is a great coach and in the K family tree, I don't want to rule out the possibility of landing Stevens. Given that Stevens is currently coaching the Celtics, it's a long shot right now, but it's worth gambling for.wildcats20;1595289 wrote:@franfraschilla BC's coming hard after Tommy Amaker by promising same facility renovation he got at Michigan.

wildcats20What are your thoughts on Dawkins coming back to take over for K??

No.wildcats20;1595394 wrote:What are your thoughts on Dawkins coming back to take over for K?? -
reclegend22If Duke is going to hire within the family, which like Carolina seems to be a very high possibility, I think at this point that Tommy Amaker or Jeff Capel are the two most viable options. Capel struggled near the end at Oklahoma, but he was once a rising star and is a master recruiter, one of the best on any staff in the country. Capel was the point man on Jabari Parker, Rodney Hood, Tyus Jones, Jahlil Okafor and Justise Winslow.
In a few years, Chris Collins might also prove a viable candidate and he's the guy I always wanted. Unlike Johnny Dawkins, he's got K's fire and I love that. Collins is also as good a recruiter as Capel (responsible for Redick, Scheyer and Singler). But he must prove himself at NW. -
wildcats20TJ Warren going pro. Kind of surprised actually. Thought he might stick around another year.

Averaged 25 a game. Dude can score the ball. His stock now is high it will get IMO.wildcats20;1596032 wrote:TJ Warren going pro. Kind of surprised actually. Thought he might stick around another year. -
wildcats20Not a big surprise but Marcus Paige will be back in Chapel Hill next year. If(and I think it is a big if) JMM comes back, this team is going to be special. Roy has his best class in a couple years coming in with Joel Berry, Theo Pinson and Justin Jackson.
With the way this group came together this season and the new guys coming in, I am very excited for next year. With only losing Leslie McDonald, who played his best game of his 5 years on Sunday; they don't have to replace much. -
ironman02McAdoo is saying some things that make it seem like he's planning on sticking around, but obviously that could change.
Next year's team could be VERY good. -
reclegend22Can't remember if this was posted yet or not.
The ACC Tournament will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn in 2017 and 2018. Good move by the ACC to expand its market with Syracuse now in the league. It's not MSG, but the Big East is not likely to give up its deal that easily.
In exchange for ending its contract with Barclays early, the Atlantic 10 will get one double-header with the ACC each December for three years starting in 2015. I'd love to see another Duke-Butler game if Brandon Miller can right the ship, though I don't have a lot of faith in that happening since Butler is in the Big East.

I swear I am not just trying to correct people, lol, but Butler is in the Big East.reclegend22;1596478 wrote:Can't remember if this was posted yet or not.

That is good for the ACC though. Will be crazy to be in New York City that weekend now with 2 great options. -
