se-alumIs Kam Williams so far behind from his illness that he can't break into this rotation?

Its bad enough that Matta has already announced he is redshirtingse-alum;1571399 wrote:Is Kam Williams so far behind from his illness that he can't break into this rotation? -
AutomatikOur talent is just not there. I've given up on Q.... bust.

Yeah he is just not that good. I think if a vocal leader can emerge and keep fire on Amir, he may be our best offensive go to. That's fucking scaryAutomatik;1571403 wrote:Our talent is just not there. I've given up on Q.... bust. -

I'm starting to get excited about this prediction.Heretic;1571242 wrote:With the way Illinois also is slumping badly, I'm picking one team to win by about a 41-38 margin. I'm not sure who yet, though. -
AutomatikHe's shown flashes of greatness, but as inconsistent as they come. He looks blazed and lackadaisical every damn game.
Loving is probably our future regarding offense. I hope he gets help. -
gerb131That last 14 seconds was the season in a nutshell

Automatiklol....painful to watch.

Yea, really going to need the Freshman to come in and perform next year.Automatik;1571410 wrote:He's shown flashes of greatness, but as inconsistent as they come. He looks blazed and lackadaisical every damn game.

So basically he isn't good enough to play, which sucks.LJ;1571400 wrote:Its bad enough that Matta has already announced he is redshirting -
bases_loadedAmir twice rejected by the rim

WebFireThat was embarrassing.

wildcats20LOL how was that not a foul??
-
wildcats20Can someone please show some emotion?
After that and 1, Q should have been yelling, pounding his chest, something. And then the charge, nothing. Show some emotion. -
vball10setW (I had a hard time finding that letter)...nice to see Smith, Jr break out of his slump and Craft getting back to his old self. Amir's still a stiff, and if Q ain't scoring, he's a liability. Everyone else tonight was a ghost.

gerb131I like Q he's played pretty well or as well I expected his game to translate into tosu

Matta said he's probably their best shooter but it wouldn't be fair to him to burn his redshirt now.se-alum;1571419 wrote:So basically he isn't good enough to play, which sucks. -

He might want to rethink that. It's not fair to the team for him not to play if he is capable.bases_loaded;1571486 wrote:Matta said he's probably their best shooter but it wouldn't be fair to him to burn his redshirt now. -
centralbucksfanIts really a simple game, knock down some shots, and all is well. OSU did this the second half of game. They also picked up their defensive intensity. No, it wasn't pretty overall. First half was just ugly by both teams. But when you aren't shooting the ball well, the game looks like that. The second half was much better. Q is Q. He is streaky, not consistant over the entire course of the game. But he still gets his 15+ per game. The key last nite was Smith coming out of his slump. When OSU plays defense as they did last nite, and can get that 2nd player to score, knock down some shots, they can compete. If not...its ugly.
People ragging on Williams. And yes, he is frustrating to watch. But last nite, he was playing hard and active on both ends. He wasn't doing that previous few games. I thought he was ok last nite.
Scott continues to disappoint IMO. He did ok down the stretch. But overall, it just seems like he isnt' giving much while on the floor.
But I'll take the win last nite and the second half was much improved. Its all a confidence thing with this team. Hopefully they can get it back. -

20 games in, it would be stupid to pull a redshirt at this point in time. The guy hasn't played a second against anyone. Now throw him into the wolves in middle of big ten play? That would be just stupid.se-alum;1571505 wrote:He might want to rethink that. It's not fair to the team for him not to play if he is capable.
Bottom line is, if he were good enough, he would have been playing. He obviously isn't ready yet. -

PrescottWhat CBF said is true, which makes the rest of the season all the more scary. OSU has to depend on Lenzelle Smith to shoot the ball well to have a semi-potent offense.I did like the urgency that Williams played with. He had his typical Williams' lapses, but he played hard.
Will someone please tell Della Valle that he can be an effective spot up shooter, but do not try to drive and create. -
HereticFirst half was comically bad basketball by comically bad teams.
Second half was more along the lines with what I'd been hoping for from the team. 38 points in 20 minutes (I think) was a dream come true, with multiple guys looking good.
It's only Illinois (about the only team in B1G play except probably Penn State playing as bad as the Bucks) and it was at home, but it was a win. And they needed a win badly. Now, let's hope they can give a full 40-minute performance need Wednesday, because with at Wisky and at Iowa coming up, they'll need positive momentum. -

Agree. Pretty disapointed in him recently. Although I still believe the injury is an issue. OSU could really, really use him to knock down a couple shots here and there. He is active and plays hard. Just not strong enough to finish at the rim yet. As you said, he needs to learn to spot up, and just shoot the ball. That is all that is needed of him at this point!Prescott;1571587 wrote: Will someone please tell Della Valle that he can be an effective spot up shooter, but do not try to drive and create. -
DeyDurkie5Our offense consists of running the sets, getting shut out of any type of penetration, and then just saying fuck it and hope it goes in. Terrible to watch
