Ohio State Basketball Official Thread

  • Azubuike24
In the end, I root for my team. Even if they get some calls. So basically, in a UK thread, I'm not going to say I'm unhappy about a favorable whistle or close replay.

    Onions!

Wow, Newbill took the shoes off Craft with that crossover. Brandon Knight-ish...both against OSU and getting owned by Kyrie Irving.
  • Mulva
That was a big time shot.
  • se-alum
Sam Thompson was playing a great game, yet Thad has had him on the bench forever now. This team is a fucking joke right now.
  • wildcats20
Not even gonna take a shot there? Wow.
  • Mulva
Staring 3-7 in conference play in the face.

Tough to win with a team full of role players.
  • se-alum
How do you draw up a play for Craft when you know you're going to need a 30 footer?
  • gerb131
    That was not cool

    NIT bound!

People say the same about UK. People are stupid. Has anyone seen some of the teams who have made the tournament recently?

Yea, UK has some good players, and I expect they'll get it together. OSU is just bad, I can see them in the NIT.

    Sarcasm.

    But maybe not!
  • Azubuike24
Maybe, but they would have to lose 5 more B1G games probably. Too well-coached and too many vets to do that. This was obviously one they can't afford to lose, but if they somehow win one of the next 2, it's negated.
  • robj55
Hey guys, these players have gotten better though! lol
  • Azubuike24
And yes, I dislike the B1G, you all know that. However, if OSU goes 8-10 in the B1G, they are, at worst, in the NCAA's barring a bad loss in the first game of the conference tournament. 21 wins in one of the top 3 (at worst) leagues...they are in.

    They lack talent.
  • Midstate01
They're so bad, that it's mildly entertaining to see how badly they can play. They have no shooters. Ross can shoot but he can't dribble better than a 6th grader. Craft and Scott have no shooting ability at all. Smith JR only shoots 3s and can't dunk. Amir Williams is complete garbage and looks like he doesn't even enjoy basketball.
Loving and della valle need more minutes. You have too. You're gonna be them next year.

Thad is lost, I mean what could you possibly do. They're making good passes against the zone but missing everything. Not much else they can do to get good looks.

I certainly thought they would. No Matta team has ever really gotten worse and worse. So it was natural to think they'd get better, but this team is just different.

Just being an ass, they lack a lot of things.

Lost at home to Penn State....atrocious

Why do nosebleed seats cost $100?

This. They don't have one impactful player on offense.....none.

    NIT...NIT...NIT!!!
  • Prescott
The better team won. PSU has more players capable of scoring the basketball.Newbill, Taylor, and the elf killed OSU.PSU scores 71 without much help from Tim Frazier.OSU had some woulda, coulda shots........Lenzelle's dunk and Scott's point blank miss at the end of regulation. I thought Thompson and Loving might help if given more minutes, but they have been no-shows lately.

It is time to accept the spoiler and prepare for the NIT.

They are hard to watch, but I'll keep watching.
