Bottom line is, if he were good enough, he would have been playing. He obviously isn't ready yet.
That's why I said he obviously isn't good enough. If he were, you owe it to the seniors to put a guy on the court that can help.

Why waste a year of eligibility on a team with such a low ceiling? How good he is doesn't factor into the equation at this point in the season.

I obviously hope he's not bad enough to be at OSU for 5 years.

Yeah I definitely hope he isn't as bad as someone like David Lighty.

This is from Bob Baptist (OSU beat writer) concerning Kameron Williams: "Williams, a scoring guard from Baltimore, missed about the first month of full-squad practices after contracting mononucleosis and, after he was cleared to resume play, had to regain weight and strength."

Matta does not redshirt players unless illness or injury (Lighty) is involved. The last Ohio State Freshman to redshirt (under Coach O'Brien) in 2000-1 was Matt Marinichick.

Not saying Kam would have been in the regular rotation if he had been completely healthy this fall, but I think he would have been given a chance. I just don't think it's fair to say he is being redshirted because 'he isn't very good.' That may be the case, but if he wouldn't have contracted mono and gotten so far behind with conditioning, at the very least us Buckeye fans would have seen him play in garbage time. Let's not judge the kid until we see him play.

Me too, I hope he is much better.

Also, they burned Q's redshirt for 9 games his Freshmen year. If Kam was good enough, he'd be out there.

Lighty is awesome. I remember after the MSU game where Evan Turner went off while having the flu he came over to our group and chilled out and talked to us a bit about the game and took a pic. I know cool story bro

I know not many people like ADV, but I think he can be a really nice player for OSU. He's more athletic than Diebler was, just needs some experience.
  • Azubuike24
By his Sophomore year, Diebler was the best shooter in the conference. Hard to think Della Valle will ever be close to the weapon Diebler was.

Yea, I wouldn't expect him to be the shooter Diebler was. He has the skill set to be better all-around offensively though. He's not going to be a star, but can be a key component, imo.

Penn State ball, pretty clear. Also, that's not a foul.

How so? The all around better offensively part.
  • wildcats20
    That's not a good call.
  • Azubuike24
Also, go back and slow-mo that Craft "drive."

THREE giant steps after a dribble.
  • wildcats20
    Another missed call.

That was a big time finish by Craft though.
  • Azubuike24
OSU gets a OOB call reversed (clearly off Craft).
Craft gets away with a blatant travel.
OSU goaltends on what would've been an and one and no call.

Amazing. 3 gifts from the refs in 15.2 seconds.

Shannon Fucking Scott has no business being on the court. Terrible defense to give up an open 3, then misses a 3 footer to win the game.
  • vball10set
Scott blows coverage on one end, then blows a bunny put back at the either...unbelievable

It's just funny to see a UK fan complaining about it.
  • Azubuike24
Yeah, I'd like to hear which of those 3 calls weren't incorrect.

OSU is going to win if they can get a few stops. Penn State's offense is 3 players jacking up threes...

I call it like I see it when it doesn't involve my team. I don't really have a dog in this fight...

I don't expect OSU fans to want it to be this way, of course we all want our team to prevail.

So how do you call it when it does involve your team?
