The U in the NCAA's Scopes

chicago510My god, Yahoo Sports is lightyears ahead of ESPN, etc in their reporting. They also give a shit about the truth.
Death penalty? This screams failure to monitor and lack of institutional control, if the pattern shows that the statute of limitations doesn't apply.
NCAA is going to be incredibly busy in the upcoming days. -

Yea, ESPN has a story up where Al Golden says players may have made mistakes, nothing about all the stuff that Shapiro said they done. Low and behold though, they are still on Tressel's tail, reporting that he was at Browns camp today...lol.chicago510;864447 wrote:My god, Yahoo Sports is lightyears ahead of ESPN, etc in their reporting. chicago510To be fair, none if this is Golden's fault. He is pretty much screwed.
But ESPN will never let Outside the Lines become what Yahoo! sports is because the $$$ is in TV games, not investigative journalism. -
enigmaaxI take it this is one of those stories that was reported to be coming a few months ago that was off the charts. Night, night Miami. Thanks for playing.

WebFireThis story doesn't mean anything. The source isn't credible because he is in jail. Right?

You're facetiousness is hilarious  It's one thing to be a criminal and not have 10,000 documents that indict the guilty (as in the OSU case), and it's another thing to be a criminal and have substantial proof. -
SpeedofsandThe story feels like the sequel to the days when uncle Luke roamed the sidelines.

killer_ewokWow. Miami is gonna get absolutely hammered.
Twitter is blowing up as all of the sports reporters/writers that I follow on there are going on and on about it. This is some wild shit. It's all about Da U! -

I actually dont think he is credible until I see the actual proof. He even said he is trying to get even with them because they didnt help him. I'm not saying I dont think he could be telling the truth but how hard would it have been for him to make it up and show a couple pictures of a Player with a booster. This story doesn't mean anything. There's photos of receipts showing purchases for things like "sex parties" with dates that match what he's told investigators. This guy is pissed because he feels he was somehow screwed by Miami, he's got a serious grudge against the school. We'll see what comes out of it, but if there's proof - ouch. The fact that their former AD was on the NCAA Infractions Committee when it hammered USC is going to be really interesting. -

LOL WTF?!he said his benefits to athletes included but were not limited to cash, prostitutes, entertainment in his multimillion-dollar homes and yacht, paid trips to high-end restaurants and nightclubs, jewelry, bounties for on-field play (including bounties for injuring opposing players), travel and, on one occasion, an abortion -

Player got a stripper pregnant. He gave her $500 for the abortion.SportsAndLady;864537 wrote:LOL WTF?!
“I was doing him a favor,” the booster said. “That idiot might have wanted to keep [the baby].” -

So the criminal part is irrelevant. Thanks for proving my point.
Anyway, in all seriousness, Miami is fucked. -

It's not irrelevant if there's evidence. And what evidence did these criminals in the OSU case have? I guess you weren't being facetious, just an ignoramus. -
chicago510Holy shit, I have never seen anything like this.
They even have individual player violation pages, complete with audio from Shapiro, illegal benefits received and evidence like Shapiro's credit card statements in PDF form.
Check out my guy Devin Hester's page as an example http://sports.yahoo.com/investigations/news;_ylt=AjgqYWEBePyraFjEsUaRVlVPMuB_?slug=ys-devin_hester_allegations
They are so cooked. Death penalty IMHO. I've seen lawsuits that presented less evidence. This is a Yahoo! page. I am literally in shock. -

Again, you prove my point. It's about the evidence. That is what matters. Not whether they are criminals. -

Yahoo must be out to get Miami. A year long investigation and player violation pages. Oh my! -

False. He is very much a different type of criminal than any of the ones interviewed in the OSU slander article, and you damn well know it. -

Alright give it a rest cocksucker, we get the point...you don't have to post the same thing over and over
