Tressel forwarding emails to TP's mentor

  The "mentor" makes me nervous, but he's a separate issue and isn't a booster of OSU or have any ties to OSU so it's not really worth worrying about.

  Everyone wanted to ignore Tressel's lies at the press conference, but they are coming to the forefront. Tressel didn't commit a violation by lying to the media and OSU fans at the presser, but I think he insulted everyone's intelligence by saying he didn't know who to turn to and that he didn't go forward because of confidentiality.

  What? Isn't it obvious who you turn to when your best player commits an NCAA violation? You tell the player's mentor and then hide from everybody else who might need to know this information

  I think this may actually become interesting. And LJ, you aren't going to know the illegal stuff going on (if there is any) until it becomes known. No one knew Ed Martin was handing out cash either, but he was.

  Some of you guys see the positive here that he was "afraid for TP" and that is why he told his mentor. I see the opposite here. Why the F is he telling TP's mentor? But not telling Gene Smith?

  They became "friends" while TP was dominating in high school and this guy is a rich, old guy. Nothing about that relationship seems normal or proper

  Research it better. Ed Martin was not a booster until the NCAA tournament their freshman year. He was only given booster status by the NCAA because he accepted a free hotel room from the University at the tournament. Prior to that, he was not a booster.
  
  Ed Martin also mentored these players going back to jr. high school. And he also went on recruiting visits. And he was also paying them, or giving them gifts.
