    I actually was very surprised the at the school paper would let them publish a story about one of their own student athletes.

    Been out of town, country and still trying to catch up on this story. Don't know all the details...but it certainly throws a whole other wrench into the situation. I'd still like to believe there is more to this. I still find it hard to believe that Tressel is that stupid. But who knows now. I'll wait to reserve my judgement until the NCAA completes their investigation. Then it will all be out in the open for everyone to see and judge. But it doesn't look good at this point..not that it ever did. But it looks worse. I would luv to just skip over next season and move on without the guys who did this. I now wish they would have went on to the NFL.

    That's where I'm at. Just waiting and seeing and hoping it doesn't become too much of a shitstorm before it's over. I don't know I'd call it Tressel being that stupid. More of a case, I think, of being so entrenched and beloved by a huge fanbase to the point a certain "I'm untouchable" vibe came over him. He's had the occasional burst of "how dare you question me" in recent times. I remember either early this past year or the season before, he responded to criticisms of his play-calling by saying something like "some people aren't happy unless they're miserable about something". Just a minor thing that didn't really have any impact, but it does sort of show an "above it all" mindset...which could lead to things like covering up info because he didn't think anyone would question him.

    He wasn't saying "make me" he was saying you can't make him leave..which is true, you can't.

    Indeed. Trolling is when you're being a Capone and doing nothing but saying a score, a record and a "hahahaaaa". Simply being a fan of another team who is talking about issues some people don't want to see brought up isn't trolling. If a team is a big deal on a site, it needs to be understood that not every bit of discussion about it is going to be positive.

    Then again, maybe I should butcher webfire. That'd give me the justification to ban anyone for any rape-related Roethlisberger content!

    Interesting story and reading some of the comments left under the story make me think it is pretty good. Love the one where a guy says Tressel will not see the sidelines this season.

    The fact that OSU knew this info at the press conference means absolutely nothing and changes nothing. They were not obligated to release that information and probably advised not to due to the investigation.

    LOL it must have been some crack reporting to figure that out. Why do you think gene smith stopped him from saying that? Because he already told the NCAA and it was part of the investigation... SMH.

    I feel your pain, Webbie--I think I'd rather be in your boat than the one we're in right now.....I just hope the actual football season goes smoother than the off-season has, that's for sure!!!

    I must admit things seem to be turning around for Michigan. Us fans have much to look forward to, in football and basketball. I just want the last regular season game to mean something again!

    I think I said this before, but I can't remember being THIS excited for spring ball and the new season. Maybe in 2007 when we were pre season #5, but that was more of expecting to be good. This is excitement of who improved we could be. Granted a lot of that comes from the ora of a new coach and everything, but it's still exciting.

    While I don't pay as much attention to the hardwood, things are looking good there too. If Morris comes back for his Jr season, Michigan could be scary good.
