did anyone see the news commercial saying see which player is in trouble again for being so far behind on his rent. anyone know the story behind it. the story is supposed to be on the news at 5 monday

Ejaun Price should be committing to OSU any time soon. I think he will be a great pick up. He is a humble kid who doesn't like any attention and has had one of the more strange recruitments i've seen.

    ^ Didn't see anything.

1st rumor of a transfer is WR James Jackson. I thought he ran good routes and made some good catches in the spring games when he actually got to play. We'll se how that plays out. Ejuan Price LB from PA will probably be comitting today as well.

Oh and the coaching staff didn't know anything about K. Wells trying to come back. So not looking good for him.

I've heard the same. His announcement is set for today.

Since it appears that Vaughters is staying with Stanford, this will be a solid pick-up. Hopefully, Tressel can still close with Walker and Curtis Grant.

I hope Jackson doesn't decide to transfer. The WR corps is going to be pretty thin the first 5 games of the year. Brown, Fields, Louis, Williams and the two freshman Spencer and Smith.

Would love to land Price today. He is a freak athlete.

After that, the only guys I would still be in contact with would be Grant, Walker, Jennings, Story, Vaughters, and Clowney (pipe dream but you have to play it out until the end).

Grant and Walker are our best chances. Jennings and Story will likely stay closer to home. Clowney we have <0.1% chance. Vaughters is the wild card right now. He could visit and fall in love, but with Stanford promoting from within, I doubt he switches.

This is a great class with or without these guys. Great part is even if Price is the last commit, that is not a terrible thing because 2012 is stacked.

Vaunghnters is waiting to see what will happen with the DC at stanford he is the lynch pin there. Also I think if Grant wants to go to OSU vaunghnters will get shut out of the class. There is not that much room left in the class. I think we end with Walker and Price. I have no idea what we do if we get story or grant, because you don't say no to them but I don't know if we have the spots.

Agreed. The number is getting very tight. Speaking of which, any idea as to how many schollys OSU will have available in 2012? I've read as low as 16.

Darien Scott and a few other players lived in one of my dad's complexes during the 2002 season. I can remember him getting like 2 months behind on his rent so dad decided to call Tressel's office. The next morning he got a call from Tressel saying that the rent would be paid in full TODAY. Darien Scott came in that day and got caught up and had a whole apology prepared and written out.

You know when it comes to civil things like that, I dunno why they just don't contact the coaches. These players have to answer to these coaches if they want to continue their scholarship and make it to the NFL. I am sure he got some kind of extra efforts, but hell, sure beats getting evicted

He had it, he just wasn't paying it. He had done it on many other occaisions, but was never late after Tressel was contacted about it.

I have seen 15 now that Tyler Moeller will be back and Sabino would be considered a year younger.

I would not be surprised to see a lot of transfers out of the current Freshman and Sophomore classes (Hall/Berry/Hyde, Guiton, DiLillo, Jackson, and any young DBs that get passed up by Grant).
  • j_crazy
guiton should go. he's got a good shot to start somwhere, but with TP and braxton he just won't get much time.
  • se-alum
OSU has 17 juniors on the roster right now, 18 counting Moeller's extra year. Sabino's redshirt will make 2012 his senior year, and I'm pretty sure Dan Bain isn't on scholly, so the number should be 16.

I hate looking into recruit's quotes too much but this is what Grant had to say following his Florida visit this past weekend:
    From today:

"I've been talking to Ohio State coaches a lot tonight (Sunday). You would think they might be like asking me about Florida or something but they are just real cool and relaxed and so chill. That's one thing about the SEC. Everybody is so intense sometimes and all that swag and stuff. Ohio State is just very real. I like those coaches a lot."

Ohio State was Grant's first official visit but the Buckeyes are still right in the front of his mind. Grant says he hasn't forgotten anything about his visit to OSU.

"I could see myself being a Buckeye too and I really love talking to those coaches."

Ejaun Price committed tonight. The once thin linebacker class is shaping up to be quite nice! Tress is doing a great job of recruiting western PA

As expected, Ejuan Price committed tonight. Here is a video on the new Buckeye:

The plyo jumping at the end is pretty impressive, given he is 6'0" 235 lbs.

I think this is the type of kid Tress is known for recruiting. Under the radar, extremely athletic, and a good kid. I've heard nothing but good things about Price both on and off the field.

Any time you can beat Iowa out for a recruit, it's a good thing.

This class is ridiculously stacked on the defensive side IMO.

Two names to watch for the WR coach position. Zach Azzanni and Stan Drayton.

Did some research, both of those guys were assistants at Florida under Meyer. Azzanni was the WR coach and Drayton coached RBs for those who are wondering

Just so you guys know, rivals has updated their players rankings today but not team rankings yet.
LSU went from having one 5* to having three 5* players.

Nevermind, they just posted team rankings also.
