^^^No such thing as a lock. Following recruiting at all..and thats obvious. Talking about teenagers...they can't make up their mind for one day let alone a years in advance. ;)
  • tbdbitl_osu
Saw both Walker and Wynn play this past year against my brother in the State Title game. I was not to impressed with Walker. He was beat around the edge alot...Also had alot of dumb penalties...One of which cost Wynn a 96 Yard TD reception...I know he has a great frame and is a good oline man I just was not impressed with him....

Wynn is a pure player...for only being 5'6 he sure plays like a 6'2 WR....The kid will go after the ball and is not scared of going over the middle. His speed is pretty scary....He is just fast and has good hands...

I really wish we could get both QB's and move Braxton Miller to secondary the kid is a lock down corner and can play saftey, if you have ever seen him play you know what I am talking about...

LOL--no wonder people think we Buckeye fans are crazy--2011???

Yeah cause Ohio State fans are the only ones looking toward 2011.

It is the next recruiting year since 2010 is now over. Pretty much anyone that follows recruiting is now moving on to 2011. Seems pretty logical to me.
  • purple_rein
There should be a flurry of OL and DT offers coming soon.

We need 5 OL and 3 DT in next years class.

Unfourtunately, for how strong Ohio is next year, it is reletively weak on the lines (except DE).

Two kids that should be for sure offers are OG Donavon Clark out of Finneytown and DT Kris Harley out of Indy.

logical? I guess,if you say so... I never said there was anything wrong with it--I'm as big a Buckeye fan as there is,and I was just stating the obvious--we're frickin' Bucknuts!!!
  • j_crazy
if OSU gets a top 10 class it'll make up for this year's debacle. Need to get that OL depth up though.
  • mucalum49
Other than QB, OL, DL what do you forsee as the team's biggest needs?

I think we are pretty well off at RB, maybe a late offer if Boom decides to leave early.

At WR with Sanzenbacher and Washington leaving I think those two guys on the list will be our main targets. I would like to have Wynn in a Dexter McCluster type roll of catching those swing passes and then just making people miss.

I am a little unsure of what our depth is at TE, LB, and CB off the top of my head but how many guys will we try to get at those positions?
  • j_crazy
need speed at WR, future OL starters, depth at OL, QB to replace TP, RB for depth, DT and speed DE, lockdown DB's

The best part of the 2010 recruiting class was the WR's and their speed. Louis and Brown are both at 4.45.

I think the 2011 class will start to fill up quickly, especially if Miller can commit this summer. OSU already has two top DE's and their looking strong for other players like Walker, Cash, Wynn, and Grant.
  • purple_rein
^ I agree. This class needs to fill quickly.

We need Miller on board because he has said that wherever he commits (and he wants to commit by the end of the summer), he will be recruiting hard for that school.

This is called the Brewster effect and it is also the reason we lost Floyd to Florida.
  • Old QB
The need to do something fast after yesterday's class, not good on paper compared to other years. It has to be Tressels 1st or 2nd worst classing coming in. In saying that he does a good job with out 5 star players.

That's 19 seniors plus at least 3 scholarships banked from this year plus the 2-3 transfers and players leaving early. So we are looking at 25 for te 2011 class.

    This is what I want:

2 QB - Miller and Jones both too good to pass up
0 RB - unless tranfer or Boom leaves early
    3 WR
2 TE - Koyak would be awesome
5 OL - Need to secure the big 3 in state (Walker, Clark, Bennett)
    3 DT - Harley is a must
    2 DE - already have
    4 LB - DePriest is a must
    3 S - Cash, Tanner, Hardy (CB/S)
    1 CB - Grant
    0 K/P

    That's 25.

Vaughnters and Wilder is going to be one of the best in 2011, check out their videos on youtube. He would be the OOS big fish of the class besides Teddy Bridgewater.
  • devil1197
Well it seems like he'll be getting one at camp then.

There is a lot of talent in Ohio for 2011. Hell our Glenville pipe line will have 4 prospects with Jones, Walker, Wynn, and Sturdivant. Their always good for one or two, possibly more.
  • OneBuckeye
Sturdivant is the most intriguing of those glenville kids. He was just all over the place on the inside in their playoff run. But I am not sure he will get an OSU offer because there are so many high quality LBs in this class with OSU intrest. I will be interested to see how the LB recruiting plays out.
