Javon is not brothers with Kaleb though, he's his uncle. Now players actually come into Northmont district to play when they used to leave. I believe in 1999 they had about 30 kids on the team, for a school of 2000 that was nuts.
Is that one of those instances where you have a child born well after his older siblings? I mean Javon is what 22-23 years old and Kaleb is 16-17? -
WebFireTE Devin Funchess (MI) and TE A.J. Williams (OH) committed to Michigan today. Good news for Good Friday!
-
karen lotzCouple of good gets for sure.
How is Michigan looking for DBs in this class? I saw that another highly rated guy from the 2010 class transferred today and I think that brings the total to 8 or 9 defensive backs that have left since '09?? -
daveWilliams will play tackle his senior year, so don't be alarmed seeing 2 TE's this early

Even if he plays TE I'm not shocked. Hoke and Co. rely heavily on TEs and we have very little. -

They have 4 coming in this fall, non on the commit list but they after some of course. -
WebFireMichigan got a commit from OH LB Joe Bolden today. This is going to be a great LB class!
-
OneBuckeyeBolden is a good get. Ohio is still loaded with good LBs.
-
karen lotzStanford offered, they were in the BCS last year. I am impressed with his offer list. (I think that's how it goes )
Good get for UM, I'd think they will get very solid defensive classes the next few years. -
dat dudeThat's the 3rd LB. I wonder if James Ross is taking note...
-
WebFireI think they'll take Ross if he wants to come. Otherwise they are done at LB.

I think as long at Mattison is the DC, we'll be able to bring in strong defensive classes w/o a doubt. Getting the defense consistent is a big thing as well obviously, but being able to say "I've coached ............ in the NFL, and I can help you get to his level here at Michigan." or something of the sort is really all you need to some of the top Defensive recruits. -
karen lotzWell you have to be careful with that line of thinking. Didn't work too well for Charlie Weis...
-
bigkahunaI never paid that much attention to Notre Dame, but weren't his offenses pretty good while he was there and it was more his defense that was the problem? I'm just curious.
Obviously it isn't going to be the only or possibly even the biggest selling point, but it's gotta account for something. -

Well Ross committed over the weekend. HUGE get for UM. Their LB class is going to be one of the best nationally. Good for UM. -
WebFireFarmington Hills (Mich.) Harrison defensive end Mario Ojemudia committed today. Much needed position.
-
WebFireRumor also out that Ohio defensive end Pharaoh Brown is going to commit.

Good pickup, but is he going to be a TE or DE? He can definately play both. -

Michigan recruited him for defense. -
WebFireMichigan just got a commitment from QB Shane Morris for 2013. This will prove to be a big pickup for the Blue.
-
Trueblue23Morris is a good pickup, too bad Gunner probably won't be a part of this class.
-
Trueblue234* CB Terry Richardson set to announce next week.
A few weeks ago he was no where near a decision, then his teammate James Ross committed to Michigan, now he's ready to announce his decision. That's a good sign for Michigan. -
Trueblue23Rivals saying Michigan fans should "fasten their seatbelts" as far as recruiting is concerned.. said a storm is brewing.. awesome.
-
WebFireAnd just think, this is all happening before Hoke and Co. play a single game. Once they start winning, look out!
Quote from Morris:
"My family raised me as a Michigan fan. My whole family grew up Michigan fans and watching Michigan football. Tom Brady is the main quarterback I idolize today. I try to learn from him and watch game film of him." -
