headlock - funny...don't worry, with Wolfe and then Maynard graduating I have lost all of my Michigan fans that were on the team.

rude, I am sure there have been many highly ranked kids that did not pan out at the school you root for.

Not panning out and going to jail and ruining the best opportunity you will ever have are two different things.

2013 commit QB Shane Morris took way MVP honors from the Elite 11 camp in Columbus this weekend. That is huge. He is only a sophomore going against seniors like Kiel Gunner and Zeke Pike.
  • karen lotz
    I think its Gunner Kiel.

How are you considering Gunner to be a senior and Morris to be a sophomore? Seems a bit biased; you either have to consider them sophomores and juniors or juniors and seniors.

    Yeah sorry.

Yes sorry. Sophomore and junior it would be technically.

So how does this have anything to do with a completely different kid committing?
  • Trueblue23
Hoke and Mattison are killing recruiting right now. There are rumblings of big names headed to Ann Arbor.

Why don't you ask the one that made the comparison. Jeesh.

Tress leaving is big for the 2012 class.
  • WebFire
"Sylvania (Ohio) Southview athlete Allen Gant, son of former Wolverine defensive back Tony Gant, announced Tuesday morning that he would be signing with Michigan next February and enrolling in the class of 2012. The 6-2, 210-pound Gant is Michigan's 13th commitment of the 2012 class and the sixth from the state of Ohio."
  • OneBuckeye
Is Gant going to be a Safety CB or WR. Kid is a player.
  • karen lotz
Don't know much about Gant, but I might have to check out a Southview game or two this fall. IIRC they have a few other DI players?

    Safety, at least for now.
  • Trueblue23
I wanna see Furman playing S this year, kid is a heck of an athlete. I want no more Kovacs. Kid is smart, but doesn't have the speed to play safety. Moving Cam Gordon to LB is awesome.

Rumblings that 4* OT Erik Magnuson could be a Wolverine next week.. Hoke and Co are working Kyle Kalis hard according to Scout.com

Still not 100% solid, but a relief for Buckeye fans. Would be the first Ohio player with an OSU offer to commit to UM this year. The six other Ohio commits did not hold OSU offers.

Crete (Ill.) Monee cornerback Anthony Standifer committed to Michigan today after visiting the campus. He was supposed to go visit Notre Dame after the UM visit, but decided he liked UM so much he would just go ahead and commit.
  • Trueblue23
I read that Gant may be moved to WR, depending on how our WR targets turn out.

The inpending violations of Ohio State will result in a better year of recruiting for Michigan in the state of Ohio
  • vball10set
^^^no it won't....very seldom does a recruit's decision come down to OSU/tsun (Gant was never offered by OSU)
