From what I've heard, 1 is a 60/40 towards leaving, one is 50/50.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the two guys bail once the depth chart is released.
Who? You can say here. We don't pay for this shiznit!

That kinda sucks about Stokes, all of our Wr's this year pretty much are glorified slot Wr's who are like 5'9/5'10. Aside from Roundtree

Don't forget that Stonum takes away a scholly next year. 27 or 28 would only happen if an extraordinary situation presented itself, which is entirely possible. But the magic number is still 26.

haha you aren't going to give up are you? First you were set on 25. there is no magic number!

Uh, I never said 25. You can say what you want. But they've been saying 26 for months. It's not like I'm making this shit up. If they have more attrition than they planned, then they'll take more.

    It's quite simple.

Also, I'm not the one that brought it up again. ;)

To back you up. I think you've said 26 about 26 times haha. I'm pretty sure that's all YOU'VE said.

you sure about that? There is no "they" who have been saying anything, Hoke is the one making the call and he hasn't ever given a firm number. Whatever sources you read about online don't know much more than we do, "they" are just speculating.

Does anyone know if Hoke took Juco players at SDSU? Not sure he would ever do it at Michigan but if Stonum doesn't come back he might have to think about it.

Starting to get louder tonight.. still not sure if he's gone or not.

I'll let you know when I hear something.

One guy has said he's 99.9% sure that no starters are going anywhere...

Which makes sense. The two guys I've heard could be pissed about not starting.

    And Hemmingway.

If he can stay healthy, I think he'll be our best WR this year.

I know they all struggled with drops, but wasn't Hemmingway the worst?

I think Roundtree struggled just as much with drops as Hemmingway.

Losing Stonum this year will hurt.. but it'll be nice to have him next year.

Ok, I'm dropping it. I know what I've read and the sources behind it. I don't really care if you believe it. And if they do take more you'll just be back saying I told you so.

I've heard that Hoke does not look at Jucos, but you also have to do whatever it takes. If they can get 2 good WR in this class, I think they'll be fine there.

Roundtree definitely had major dropsies last year, mostly the last few games. I actually think having Stonum next year vs. this year is better for the team. We'll be thin at WR next year and they'll need him.

The one I couldn't care less about. His position is getting stronger with better competition and some good recruits coming in. The other worries me because of lack of depth at the position.

I tell ya though, I don't understand these kids that come in and expect to play right away. I guy in his 2nd year doesn't start and wants to transfer. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Junior hemmingway? It seems like that dude has been in college for the past decade. Wow

in a vacuum it will be nice having Hemmingway next year, but I'm sure there will be injuries this season and he will be sorely missed. Also, there isn't much of a reason to count on him next season anyway.

That's the thing I am concerned with. He might say screw it and not come back. The only real reason for him to do so would be to improve NFL stock, if he had any. But I don't really think that's an issue for him.
  • Coach 08
^^ Agreed, I love the recruiting class the coach Hoke has coming in next year, loading up on the defense and the O-line. The only thing is I hope that he is lining up skill position recruits if not this year next year, like Wr's and a QB. Also how many more recruits can we still sign with this class this year with 23 already?
  • dave
They have QB Shane Morris in the 2013 class, he's going to be as highly touted as Ryan Mallett by next year. No real need to go after another QB this season, Gardner will be the bridge between Denard and Shane.

There is no number, we've been discussing that for awhile. Those commits can't sign til feb, a lot can change. They could easily have a commit list approaching 30 at some point this fall.
  • Coach 08
Thanks for the info Dave, I guess I did hear about Shane Morris, exciting times in Ann Arbor again! GO Blue!
  • WebFire
No QB in this class as Dave stated. But they are after two 4* WRs and would take both.
  • Coach 08
I would like to get both but a least one of them! Do you know there names WebFire?
