2011 Michigan Recruiting

Yeah, he's been a big disappointment in his time here. He really should have redshirted his freshman year, but RRod played him anyway, probably expecting more out of him.

RichRod is "biased" but thinks Michigan wins 9 or 10, because that's how many he expected to win this year. If you ask me, it seems like this is his way of AGAIN saying he had things heading in the right direction, and if they don't win 9 or 10, they took a step back. This is one thing I didn't like about RR. He always had excuses and could never own up to the failures. Let it go Rich!

I think Rodriguez is a good guy, he really is.

Sadly, the man is allergic to defense, and that doesn't fly at Michigan.

I too think he is a good person. And people attacking his character was what aggravated me the most about his time there. However, I never cared for him blaming things on others but never taking accountability.

What is your new HC name again...he's such a nobody that I keep forgetting his name. Hokey? Jokey? Joke? something like that.
  • Hb31187
Lol this is pathetic, even coming from you^^^

Just rattlin' the cage a bit before the season starts Hb...seein' if you scUMmers are finally ready for some rivalry football again.

    Some notes from Saturday's scrimmage:

    - Jordan Kovacs has solidified his starting spot at SS. He has had a great camp and plays hard and makes plays. One observer said he probably has more picks than everyone else combined in practice, and it's not because of the others being bad. There is good competition at the safety spots.

    - Denard and Gardner both threw 2 picks in the scrimmage, though Denard's were on tipped balls. Other than that, the QB play was good. All observers of the scrimmage and practice think Denard will have a great year.

    - Freshman Blake Countess, Courtney Avery and JT Floyd have all played well. Good competition there. Blake had a nice INT in the scrimmage where he made a great break on the ball and took it to the house.

    - Kenny Demens is a beast. Potential to be an All-B1G LB.

    - Michael Shaw had a good scrimmage, and on one play trucked Demens, which is not easy feat. Still doesn't "have it" 100%, but could be a good year for him.

    - Thomas Rawls did not scrimmage. He has a shoulder injury, which is not serious. He will back in practice this week. Based on practice though, he is expected to contribute this fall.

    - Fitzgerald Toussaint was the best back at the srimmage. This is good news since we haven't heard much about him from camp, and many expected good things from him this fall.

    - Desmond Morgan looks good at WILL. They may not redshirt him because he has played so well.. He took some reps with the 1's on Saturday.

    - Frank Clark, Rawls, Countess, Brennen Beyer are freshmen all expected to play this year.

    - Big Will Campbell would likely not start if the game were today. He had a decent scrimmage, but he is not where they want him to be yet. However, walk-on RS Soph Nathan Brink has impressed and may be the starter at DE. This would force Van Bergen inside at DT. Coaches are high on Brink and compare him to Kovacs in how he plays hard every play, and is a tough nosed kid.

    - Jeremy Gallon was the best of the receivers Saturday. Roundtree had a couple drops.

    - OL is solid and could be best in B1G. No worries here other than depth.

    - Kicking game with Matt Wile was solid. He looked like a veteran kicking field goals.

Lol, what a joke. He underachieved badly the entire time he was at UM, so for him to try to set expectations at all is unreal to me.

I don't have any comments on what type of a person he is, but there was no excuse for his record. I'm curious to see if Hoke can turn it around this year (I do believe UM will eventually get it turned around) or if RR being the coach actually set the program back.

    @Webfire

Really not cool to copy and paste information from a premium board... just sayin.

Show me where I copied and pasted. I type all that shit myself. Here is a link to a "non-premium" site that has the same info. Rivals isn't the only ones that goes to the scrimmage.

In fact, I put my bullets together using more than one source and purposely didn't copy anything. Please put my post back up.

Even if it was, what's the big deal? You paid for it, so isn't it pretty much yours to use? You don't see anyone getting mad by posting stuff from JJ, and that has to be paid for.

I thank you for posting the information webbie.

No, it's against their terms and services. Which is exactly why I didn't copy and paste. There are only so many ways to say the same thing.

Ok, I've retyped the points from the scrimmage without using any info Rivals had. Enjoy!

    Go Blue!

Freshman OL Tony Posada is no longer with the team. It seems he was homesick and not really into putting in the work required. He reported to camp waaaaaaaaaaaay overweight. Doesn't hurt Michigan at all. He would have redshirted, and it was debated whether he was B1G material anyway.
  • Trueblue23
aka another 2012 recruit, which is awesome.

Did not know that portion of it. I stand corrected.

Why does it matter if someone copies and pastes something from a "premium board" lol?

Because you pay for the content, and if you share it on free boards, then others don't have to pay for it.

sounds Democratic..isn't that what our country is built on? :p

WR JeRon Stokes has left the program to be closer to home.

28 sounds realistic, like I said a month ago.

Still need 2 more to leave to sign 26. Like I said, they had already accounted on some attrition to get to 26. Don't forget that Stonum takes away a scholly next year. 27 or 28 would only happen if an extraordinary situation presented itself, which is entirely possible. But the magic number is still 26.
  • Trueblue23
There are two more possible departures before opening day.

From what I've heard, 1 is a 60/40 towards leaving, one is 50/50.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the two guys bail once the depth chart is released.
