Terrelle Pryor, please stop talking....

  Maybe if he played ball like he talks, Ohio State would be in the NCG. I have never been sold on Pryor. I think he is a phenomenal athlete, but as a QB, I don't think he has the mental fortitude for the big games.

  Let me add, I think he played huge in the Rose Bowl last year, but in every other big game the Buckeyes have had, he's kinda been blah out there. IMO

  I could see if he was on a different offense he might have a little better numbers, but to say he would dominate? and that he carries only 5 times a game, and sometimes NO carries in a game is laughable. His throwing isnt the best, so I dont know how he would dominate, and I dont know why he acts like what Newton did is what he was suppose to do and that TP could do it. Sorry, it would be hard for a player with not that great of a team to do what Cam did, to carry a team on his back and have a ton of comeback wins. Cam is just a better player, one of the best we've seen for a season.

  God I hate Terrelle Pryor.
  
  We were doing the team banquet at The Ohio Union last weekend, it was very neat. I had one of the head tables, so I all seniors who were giving their speeches. So anywho I'm walking down the side of the grand ballroom and Pryor makes eye contact with me and tries to wave me down; of course, since I have a solid amount of disdain for the man, I just kept walking. Plus it was a little weird I am on the opposite side of the room and he tries to wave me down....when he has other servers all around him. Well the poor bastard who was actually waved down was directed by Pryor to make him some lemonade. hahah it doesn't sound all that weird until you realize we're not a restaurant, we're a catering company. We prepare what the client orders, and only that. So his server had to go down a few levels to Sloopy's and get lemonade. There were over 700 people there, everyone else drank what the athletic department ordered (iced tea and water).
  
  That is pretty minor in the grand scheme of things. So then when he's done with his meal and everyone is out clearing plates he waves down someone else. Mind you, each of us had two assigned tables, twenty people. He has his own server, shouldn't be taking the servers from other tables. So he waves this little girl down, a freshman I believe, and says "Ma, I'm done eating" and lifts up his plate above his head. So kudos to the girl, who felt embarrassed beyond belief, for just standing there for a few seconds staring at him, and then pointing to her name tag. It was pretty great, the players at the table just starting laughing at him, and he was pretty frustrated.
  
  Needless to say the entire catering staff, and most of the student body, thinks Terrelle Pryor is an embarrassment and one of the biggest douchebags walking the earth today. I don't understand how anyone can root for such an asshole. I just told you two rather minor incidents but it's just another in a litany of terrible stories about that fucker.

  Cats is just pissed his wittle team ain't shit again this year. Must be tough to root for a team that has faded from national prominence, while the Buckeyes stay at THE TOP of the overall BCS teams. And to think, they are doing it with a QB like Pryor! Imagine if they had a real QB to run the show. Ohhh boy!

  No doubt Pryor's numbers would be much better if he played in an offense like Newton or Robinson. I give credit to Pryor for wanting to become a pro-style QB, but his talent would be better suited for a different offense. Let's be honest, in the end, Newton and Pryor's paths will meet in the same place, irrelevance in the NFL.

  Whats wrong with what he said? Its not ok to talk when your being interviewed? lol Its not like he sought out someone to run his mouth to. Big friggin deal!! Its not ok for him to talk....BUT its ok for Newton to continue all his SHOWBOATING BULLSHIT running to the crowd, holding his arms like he is some savior? Please, give it a rest or at least look outside your hate towards OSU before running your big trap. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong what Pryor said and he is probably right with his comments, although a bit exaggerated.

  ^ Agreed. He has a valid point where Cam and Denard run much more than him and are expected to account for more of the total offense. Cam and TP's passing numbers are very similar. If he ran the ball 15 times a game he could have simlar stats too. I think he should keep his comments to himself but they are not out of line.

  This was discussed on another board and here is what one poster had to say.
  

  1. Openly criticizing other good players in his conference.
  2. Implicitly criticizing his own team and offense.
  3. If not 2, then he is basically saying he is afraid of contact - "I could dominate and do better than I am currently, I just don't feel like it."
  4. Talking about other schools as though he was forced into playing at OSU--"you'd see my full potential at X but I'm here at OSU"--nevermind that he could have played at any school.
  5. Incredible, breathtaking arrogance on 2 levels: (a) saying that he is currently dominant, and (b) even more incredibly, that he is SO AMAZING that he could play and dominate in any offense and any team.
  6. Basically calling the people around him worthless - that he makes a team dominant, not the other players, OL, etc...not to mention that he thinks he can make ANY team dominant.
  7. If he can dominate the nation on any team, why hasn't he done so at the team he is, you know, on?

  Just before the interview he takes a call from Posey telling him he's nowhere to be found on the all Big 10 list, so he's maybe grinding a little axe just before the interview. Is what he said out of the norm from what he generally says in interviews? Yep. Is what he said maybe the most inflammatory thing he's ever said? Sounds like it. Given the news he was snubbed for all Big 10 just moments before the interview, are his comments to be taken with a grain of salt...damn straight.

  He is not, but he is not coached to be one either. I recall RR having to convince Drob that he is that fast and he is capable of doing certain things in the run game maybe drob didn't think was possible. If Pryor went to UM and was coached to be that style of player there is no doubt he would be a better runner than he is now. How good is up for debate.

  Wow, you have some very personal issues if you "hate" someone that you don't even know personally. For the above story...I could relate at least half a dozen that are completely contrary to your above bullshit. One was last spring while down at the Shoe for the high school all star games. Pryor and many of the OSU team were down there. As they were walking out, Pryor was surrounded by a bunch of little kids wanting autographs, pics or just to touch him. Well, he took care of EVERY one of those little kids. He was the LAST OSU player to leave.

  I would agree with this somewhat. In the open field, the guy can flat out run and has a great stiff arm. As far as being elusive, no he isn't that great. But there is no question, he can fun as well as anyone in a straight line. He is rarely ever run down in open field unless someone has a great angle on him.
