Terrelle Pryor, please stop talking....

You guy's do realize that Pryor only has .5 less YPC than Newton playing in an offense that doesn't revolve around the QB running.

Yards per carry or yards per play?

If you have a significant amount less carries than another player its also easier to have a high YPC though

Maybe when a guy has 50 carries vs 300, but they both carried the ball a significant amount, and both took about the same number of sacks. Pryor would excel in the offense that Newton runs.

And if Troy Smith could go in round 5 of the draft, I have no question that Pryor would go earlier then that right now.

troy smith was drafted to play qb. odds are pryor wont be playing qb at the next level.

Most of Pryors runs were when the play broke down and there was nothing but green in front of him however (not that theres anything wrong with that at all) so theres obviously gonna be more room for him to run, thus a high YPC. Newton often played against stacked boxes because people knew what was coming.

I do think Pryor would fit well in that offense however

    Put $100 on it?

I definitely agree with this. I also think that Cam would fit very well in OSU's offense too. Not that they are "interchangeable", but they are very, very similar. I think that Cam's numbers may have been even better playing in OSU's offense.

They talked about this on Common Man and the Torg tonight. Apparently Ohio Chatter isn't the only place where discussion of this is going on. Let's call a spade a spade, he should have kept his mouth shut

pryors comments smacks of the same arrogance you see in many buckeye fans. i remember back when pryor first stepped on campus the predictions from OSU suppoters of a heisman and a couple of national championships. it wasnt all that long ago . well time is running out.

This is a bit of an over generalization. There are several buckeye fans even on this thread who agree Pryor needs to watch what he says in public.

Do not try to reason with the unreasonable.

Robinson's odds are MUCH MUCH longer and Newton's are about the same.

In defense of Robinson, one has to wonder the kind of numbers he would have put up if he had receivers who could catch the ball. In addition, you have to consider he is two years younger than TP. As for Netwon, in all honesty I think he has better touch on the ball and is definitely not afraid to run through guys as well as past them (see the South Carolina game). All of this being said, I think Pryor is a great athlete who would have been great where ever he would have gone.

Links or no links, what he said is true. Talk of multiple Heismans was for sure.

I'm sure there are some OSU fans who may have predicted multiple Heismans and/or NCs. Somewhat similar to Michigan fans predicting a Heisman for Denard after the fiirst 3 or 4 games this year. Fans = fanatics. Its not uncommon.

for sure?? lol....and I agree, dat dude, that a lot of us were hoping for more--but hoping and predicting aren't the same IMO.

Its not close because Pryor isn't the focal point in OSU rushing attack. As noted MANY times, Pryor ran MUCH less, about 120 attempts less. The YPC are close. I am not saying Pryor is better than Newton, he isn't. But comparing the rushing is ridiculous when one is the main runner for his team, and the other isn't. Passing stats are in FACT VERY close.

Kinda like all the UM fans jumping on the Robinson wagon this year and the Forcier wagon last year?

at least the michigan fans talked of the the heisman after robinson played a few games. buckyeye nation made predictiosn the day pryor signed a letter of intent.
