  • Pick6

I haven't heard anything, but wouldn't be surprised. Girls volley ball wrestling? I can't remember what else...not even sure on the wrestling.

Women's hoops plays a decent amount of games there I believe.

Pick you are right about the students being behind one of the hoops. The only problem with that was it a reasonably small section compared to the ginormity of the Schott. The rest of the students were scattered throughout the crowd, with quite a few being in the upper bowl. I witnessed quite a few old ladies either knitting or reading books during games from their lower level seats and that isn't an exaggeration. Not a very intimidating crowd, especially considering what Ohio Stadium is like.

call me out, what the fuck are you calling me out on? Your inability to understand the written word?

I'm ENTITLED to have a small degree of condescension when someone refers to me as magnanimous in a clearly condescending manner you fuck. And a very small degree it was.
Because you ARE acting magnanimous, and it you just proved it by getting upset over nothing, dropping 4 unnecessary f bombs. Riled up a bit?

And for those interested, the Buckeyes are actually playing this year in St. John on Dec. 12 versus Western Carolina.

Karen's right, the students are now on a sideline as well as being behind one basket. Should be a more intimidating during the important Big 10 games than last year being behind the baskets.

Lol...me riled up? Which post of mine did you respond to that was directed toward you? You mean the one directed to sjm? Struck a nerve huh? If you don't like it that's fine, but generous and forgiving to insecure college kids I'm not. You fill those shoes succinctly.

Though I stand firm on not using Ohio State as you base for comparisons sake, you're fucking Notre Dame. You compare yourself to past Domers, not OSU, not Texas, not USC, Grambling or Wichita State. You give the appearance of being second rate.

On a side note, and I don't care who you root for, but I honestly feel you've sold yourself short by attending OSU and cheering for the Domers. You may enjoy the games here and there, but you sold your michigan ticket "it just doesn't interest me.". Did you jump in Mirror Lake? How many Skull sessions have you been to? Did you miss celebrating any Buckeye victories when ND was on at 8 pm? You'll never get chills when TBDBITL does Script Ohio. I could not imagined myself having attended The Ohio State University and not enjoyed, nor have the memories I have that you'll not appreciate nearly as much as I do now had you bought into the program. I actually, as the magnanimous one I am, feel bad for you. But good luck with the degree anyway.:)

Ohio State gameday cannot hold a candle to ND's gameday. Sorry, not missing anything. Tailgating at OSU is non-existent. I've been to Michigan and Michigan State too and those were exponentially better experiences than gameday in Columbus.

Being moved this year. I know people who have regular conversations with Gene Smith and Gordon Gee. (I've personally talked to Gordon twice, but of nothing substantial and not of much length. He jokingly told me "maybe someday we'll let you {ND} into the Big Ten")

Thanks, wow that's a hog of a .pdf did you find a timetable? I'll look but just wondering if you noticed one offhand.

That's his opinion and he's entitled to it. He has been to both venues for games, have you?

haha I'm a City and Regional Planning major, and campus planning is a particular interest of mine so once I got my paws on that master plan I saved it to my external hard drive. GREAT stuff on there.

There's not so much a timetable but a list of recommendations. Not all of them suggest eliminating St. John but instead investing money to upkeep it at a fraction of the cost. I personally am in favor of spending as much money as it takes to knock it down and build a better one for the smaller sports on the "sports campus." They should have built the Schott where St. John is, but that mistake is done.

Yeah I don't agree with the non existent tailgating. I only really tailgated in the true sense of the word for one OSU game and that was because friends were coming down for the game and had their own set up. Otherwise I would just hang out and drink/eat/play cornhole and all that stuff at various friends' places on campus. The tailgating lots at OSU are ridiculous though. On the flip side of that I have tailgated at every ND game I've been to because I've always arrived the day of the game and parked in the main lot where more of the tailgating takes place.

I've watched ND play, does that mean I'm entitled to my opinion? No? Oh right, when I do its trolling.

    Delusional.

A simple "no I have not" would have sufficed.

Lol...yeah I came to that conclusion after pouring over that thing for the last hour. The only thing that was mentioned was a general time frame that ended in 2012, not completion however. Did go over all the issues with St. John, it has to go. I agree about the Schott placement, though it appears their long range plan is to try to incorporate into the Village, at least to a degree. Good stuff.

Sadly, you won't. Unless you prove to be even more of a bitch than you already are and fail to man to the bet.

No, the women actually don't play that many games at St. Johns. And if you ahve ever been to the Schott for a significant game, it can be a very good atmosphere. I have been to quite a few big games when that place was great.

Been to all of those myself and you couldn't be more WRONG.

It's St. John Arena. There is no "S" in the word John.

It's a perfect venue for the wrestling matches although there are not many home matches. What facility could they move those to?
