So it appears we have gotten smaller with lots of guard/small forward types :(

...and we will struggle to score points. I don't see a pure shooter on that entire list.

Defenses will just pack it in inside and dare us to shoot outside, we'll have to play defense and score off the fast break, and pray that one of these years someone will be able to shoot foul shots!

agree by all,it could be a long yr . and years to come for rider sports( football and hoops)
  • Mr. Russell
Lichti and Graber aren't in the mix? Bryce Short?
  • Flash
I disagree somewhat. We'll be better than you'd think next year in football. We will have some experience on the line and a little tweeking of receivers and running backs will give us some punch. In basketball we'll be around .500 or slightly under this year, but could make noise in the tournament. Pretty much the same as last year.
  • Flash
Mr. Russell are you talking hoops? Short won't be up to varsity this year as a freshman, I don't think. The other two aren't out that I know of.
  • Mr. Russell
Ok, interesting. Those boys had talent, as did Neer. It is sad that they got lost in the shuffle. I also think that Bryce can play with those guys that were named previously, but I would understand why he wouldn't be moved up yet. Thanks a lot for the info.

Graber and Lichti are playing this year, Lichti is getting a MRI on his knee checked out before he starts practice. All the football players were given up to a week off before going to basketball practice.

Any word on the Tuslaw and South scrimmages, and is anyone going to the Cloverleaf scrimmage? I can't get to any of the scrimmages and the 1st game of the season is once again on the state football finals Saturday so I miss the opener again:mad:
  • Mr. 300
So glad the Neer men were lost but then found.

    LOL

Beast we're counting on you to keep 300 honest. Neer will be a loss for us because he would have started and helped with our height problems, but so is life.
  • Mr. 300
I'm always honest. You just can't handle the truth.

Can't wait to visit the holmes county thread, can anyone find it?
  • Riderfan
Hearing Neer currently is not allowed to practice...any truth to that?

That's news to me, but will fire up the pony express for an answer.

For someone that is always bad mouthing Orrville...you sure do troll our threads a lot.

Start a Holmes Co. thread so that you can talk to yourself and gloat about the mighty Knights and all that tradition and winning they have down there in Swartzentruber land!
  • Mr. 300
Sounds like Neer is out until next week sometime, if OHSAA allows him to play this year. New by-law in affect this year looks to be the issue, along with Orrville's "feelings" on the issue.

Too bad for the kid. Looks like Orrville stuck it to him last year, and now want to stick it to him again.

Hey Old Rider, go see BRF. You need a new undergarment too!
