1486wdeven though the bulldogs took it on the chim, I left feeling proud of their effort. They never let vasj feel comfortable and pull away (moyer put them on his back). This game showed me again that dalton needs to play 2-3 teams like this in the regular season so they are prepared for this style of play - most of their schedule plays a very similar style. It took them a quarter and a half to settle down and play their game. Looking to next year, I think Dalton has a chance to be even better. Moyer' game continues to rise, and clay bowe has really come along. They will need him to do a little more scoring next year without troyer, but he is certainly capable. The bulldogs will also be deeper next year. I expect them to be a better team defensively as well (and they were pretty good this year.) But that's a long way off and a lot of work needs to be done in the mean time. Good season Bulldogs!

riders1Also think there needs to be a 7 or 8 player rotation if you want to be able to compete with teams like VASJ, who only loses 2 senior starters and have Flanagan, Parker, and the other 6'6" freshman back and will still be in the district.
Also congrats to Troyer as the Inland district Player of the Year and 1st team, also Moyer as 2nd team and Bowe Special Mention. -
1486wdagreed and I do think the bulldogs will have that next year (7 or 8 man rotation).

i agree with the rotation, but some reason nate doesn't want too. in the past couple years he could of extented is bench ! same 6 OR 7 deep is all he will do ! and yes we need to play more tms up around that area of that style of play !!1486wd;1110491 wrote:agreed and I do think the bulldogs will have that next year (7 or 8 man rotation). -
1486wdNate played 8 last yr. I really don't think he could have this season. Those sophs just weren't ready early in the year

riders1Come district play you have to be able to play up to 8 to 10 when you go against deeper stronger competition, like VASJ who play a deeper bench and will wear a thinner roster down.
