riders1Dalton's gym has been that size for over 40 years and up until last season was waaaaaaaaay bigger than Norwaynes barn floor

Before Norwayne built the new gym it was easily one of the WORST I've seen. (next to Hillsdale's)bobcats2012;1060737 wrote:What are you smoking tonight? -

what are you on ? the old hanger was a joke , it was smaller then dalton , and the new one doesn't hold much more ! so i wouldn't go bragging about it jack wagonbobcats2012;1060737 wrote:What are you smoking tonight? -

I dont think I said anything about the refs. They were same both ways. Second I think we beat kenton in that game. Third we did get out played in the first half, we did also keep Daltons best player to just 4 points, 2 of those coming on free throw with 30 sec to go. Bowe played an awesome game and was the difference!1_beast;1060852 wrote:lol...Im sure the refs screwed the bobcats.....Mauk, perhaps was in attendence -
1486wdDalton's best player played about about 2 quarters due to foul trouble. Get over the floor all ready - it is hysterical to hear a norwayne fan cracking on someone's gym - they had the worst one in the county for 50 years. How much does their new one hold anyway - 1200 tops. Dalton is not a bad venue. Both teams played good defense and neither shot well, but Dalton passed better inside - 17 assists, Bowe outplayed Davis and they won the game.

RedRider1Good for Dalton. Wish they were in the Wooster District with the rest of us.

beverboy1me too! alot better where we go now !

With you thought process Moyer would of had 2 FGs in a full game then.1486wd;1060893 wrote:Dalton's best player played about about 2 quarters due to foul trouble. 1486wdi didn't say norwayne didn't play good defense on him - they did. You just left out the part that he didn't even play in half the game when you mentioned his scoring. He also had a little trouble getting into the flow of the game after sitting so much. He did contribute though - some great assists as usual and solid defense and rebounding in the second half. It was very good for Dalton's confidence going forward to have been able to build a 12 point lead into half time with him on the bench - they would not have been able to do that at the beginning of the season (as we saw vs. Tuslaw).
redrider - we wish that as well! To be honest, the d4 district up north is darn near unwinnable with some of the parochial schools that are in it these days. There are still a couple dumpster fire teams at the bottom, but the top is just stacked. -

Normally its a really tough district but this year is more of down year in the district for the most part. The district comes down Dalton, VASJ (prob the favorite), Richmond Heights, and Cuyahoga Heights. The rest is of the district is not so good.1486wd;1061011 wrote:

These are all the teams in Daltons' district:
- Central Christian
- Cornerstone Christ.
- Cuyahoga Heights
- Dalton
- Fairport Harbor
- Lake Ridge Acad.
- Lutheran East
- Mapleton
- Newbury
- Open Door Christ.
- Richmond Heights
- Rittman
- Villa Angela St Jos

1486wdtrue, chanel moved back to d3 and lutheran east is not nearly as good as they have been. VASJ is probably a really tough out with the schedule they play and I heard RH is excellent as well. Don't know much about Cuy Hts. The last few years, the top of the district has been really, really tough amd the bottom has always been bad. It has been an easy sectional and a really tough district.

Coach_08Hey Norwayne fans it had to be the floor and the refs right?

WayneCountyAs a Dalton fan I just wanted to comment on how much fun this team is to watch. They seem to have a lot of the pieces in place and they seem to get along great. The guards are there with Masters the point guard, Hammer the shooter, and Moyer who offers many different skill sets. It is exciting watching the post play this year which seems to have been lacking in years past due to our inability to offer much size. Troyer and Bowe compliment each other very nicely and pass the ball extremely well down low. They control the boards which is evident by us out rebounding our opponents in every game but two this year. This team is fun to watch because they are exactly that, a team, with each player contributing in many ways. Good luck in the rest of the year and GO DAWGS!

Ref-DawgI would have loved to see this game, sadly, I was in Columbus. Hopefully tonight I will be able to get to Smithville to watch a game for once.
-
riders1DIV sectional/district definitely looks like only 4 teams with a realistic chance to come out and go to regionals.
VASJ 5-5 (#16 in PD top 25) right now after losing to Tilton Prep NH 14-3 at Mountaineer Showcase and play Huntington Prep tonight.
Richmond Hts 8-1 , (#11 in PD top 25) only loss to DI (#6 in PD top 25) Shaker Hts 10-1
Dalton 9-2
Cuyahoga Hts. 8-3
Looks like an easy sectional for all 4 and then the districts will be tough with VASJ and Richmond Hts. the favorite to play in the district final. -
