Wayne County League Basketball

bulldogs at hillsdale friday - a win guarantees at least a share of the title. I Still think hillsdale has a slight edge at home, but I'm feeling a lot better about the bulldogs chances after last weekend.

Not much action on this thread lately. What happened to the Norwayne contingent?

I guess I'll bust up the Dalton talk with-

GO HUSKIES!!! we're gonna take 4th!!! and next year, were gonna win it!!!

Good luck Dawgs, Cats & Falcons.

Yea don't know where the bobcats went. If we're looking to next year, I think the obvious frontrunners will be the huskies bulldogs and bobcats

I think many of the Bobcats are waiting to see what happens in Jeromesville tonight - or maybe we're worried about the Rittman game. I'm just hoping the team gets back to where they were earlier in the season. They're still winning games, but they haven't been as explosive. They lose their advantage in half-court slower paced games. Good luck to the dogs and falcons tonight (especially the falcons this time). It should be a good one either way...

Way to go Dalton! Great job overcoming the early deficit.

I say it again, size KILLED Rittman tonight. I thought they played well but at times seemed to get easily shaken and turned over the ball quite often. The Indians didn't seem to want it as much as they should have. Very impressed with Anthony Heater for Rittman. Very undersized for a big man (played guard on JV last year) but hustled for every loose ball and battled inside more than any other player. Congrats to Dalton tonight with a big win over Hillsdale. Hopefully they can hang on the rest of the way out.

Dalton only has Chippewa left on the road so barring a major upset they will win the league outright. Norwayne can still tie if they win out and Dalton loses

Bears lost to Smithville in OT.....WOW, talk about some obnoxious fans!

Three specifically made spectacles....I feel sorry for the kid of the mom that was going off.

Please give more details, and explain why you went to a basketball game?

I just cant escape your trolling can I? LOL

I'm a well versed sports enthusiast.

No details needed...see Waynedale vs Smithville round 1 and you will know. It just didnt escalate this time...due largely in part to the Smithies winning....Otherwise, I suspected a meltdown. It was in the makings.

I was going to go introduce myself....but after a quarter of observation, I may of hip tossed someone through the wall....;)

Don't see Chippewa beating Dalton, but they have to play the game and see what happens. Go Bulldogs !

Also Richmond Hts keeps rolling and looks to have locked up a top 2 seed.

VASJ also beat Cle Central Cath. last night and plays Beachwood, the team Richmond Hts beat last night. So it looks like a battle between VASJ , Richmond Hts, and Dalton for the top 3 seeds, with the majority of teams from the Cleveland area Dalton might not get the vote for 1 or 2.

keep rolling dawgs !! now we are falcons fans
  • 1486wd
It's looking like Dalton will probably be the 3 seed. Either way, they likely have to go through both vasj and rh to get out. If they can somehow do that, they will likely have hiland waiting. Yikes all the way around!

Any Truth to the rumor that Milo won't be back at Rittman? A year too late...? Claims that they don't have the heigth, but that doesn't explaind the losses to Rootstown, Waterloo, or Wanyedale...

it doesn't matter you have too win ! you going to face them somewhere down the line .
  • 1486wd
I agree I just think our seeding doesn't matter because rh and vasj will go in opposite brackets. My point was simply that we'll likely have to play both no matter where we are seeded 1-4.

I have heard the rumor for a couple years and nothing has come of it yet. I hope Milo stays because this team is loaded with a lot of young players with great potential. But if he does decide to leave, I respect his decision. Rittman has not had a solid winning program in anything for quite a while. Milo has only had two losing seasons in his tenure at Rittman and took one team all the way to the Eilite 8. Whatever he decides, I respect his decision.

i also have heard the rumor a few years ago. but i think milo deserves some respect for what hes done with the program. He has made rittman a respectable basketball team year in and year out. This is a tough year for the whole rittman basketball community. Its just plain and simple that this year they dont have the toughness or experience that his former teams have. Losing 8 seniors and 95 percent of your scoring just pretty much sums up what kind of season this would be for the indians. Milo deserves enough respect from the school and community to stay and continue what he has built at rittman.
