  let me guess, were you born a buckeyes fan too? we learn behaviors at a young age. small babies and children have attractions to both their fathers and mothers at different times as their mature. its pretty possible that those who are gay maybe dont lose that attraction to their same sex parent and it continues as they grow up.

  Besides knowing that I never had to make a conscious choice to be hetero, I think it would be logically straightforward that homosexuality cannot be a rational choice. Given the cultural and societal pressures, a person choosing to be gay would have to be maladjusted in some form, and I don't think anyone believes that all gay people are maladjusted or damaged emotionally/pyschologically. Moreover, choosing to resist the inherent biological/physiological attraction to the opposite sex that many in this thread seem to believe is inate would require rebellion on a level that makes absolutely zero sense. Any desire to rebel or be different would be more than sufficiently satisfied through being bisexual. If one were attracted to the opposite sex there would be absolutely no point in denying those feelings.
  
  There is absolutely no reason to choose to be gay. If sexuality were a choice, then people would choose to be hetero or bi - no one would choose to be gay.

  No, I was not born a buckeye fan. That's apples to orange and an irrelevant comparison. The color example at least is similar because there is no innate reason to prefer one color over another, we just do.

  I choose to accept them for being an individual created by God. God still loves them and so should I.
  
  I know many who would claim alcoholics are born that way (genetics). Same thing. God still loves us all so why can't we accept each other for who they are and let God be the judge in the end.

One once told me she went lesbian because God took her husband in a car accident, and she believed that is the path he chose for her. Again, a weak mind comes into play.
  
  So yea, being born with a weak mind plays a big part, but choosing to become gay with that weak mind plays a bigger part.

  Saying some one chooses to be gay is absolutely ridiculous. That's like saying people chose to be mentally retarded, or chose to have other disabilities or diseases. Did God intend perfection for people? Absolutely. But then came sin, and error. And along with it disease and sickness and dysfunction. Just because homosexuality is the one (for lack of better word) dysfunction that humans can hide, doesn't mean it is any different or worse than any other one, or that it is a choice. Frankly who cares if its a choice. Be a decent human being. Don't worry or judge other peoples lifestyle. And treat people with respect. It doesn't matter why anyone is the way they are. Worry about yourself.

  There are a few guys I've known since I was 4 or 5 years old who are gay and from what I've learned it's a choice for sure. They weren't born that way. Saying they were born that way is just what they came up with to try to make it seem more acceptable and judging from the poll a lot of people are gullible. I don't have a problem with a gay people, they are what they are--but shit like this pisses me off. They shouldn't have to come up with reasons to be more socially acceptable (like saying they were born that way) to be able to fit in. Who gives a shit what they're doing on their own time and for all the guys who make fun of gay dudes--you're a douche bag. All that means is there is more pussy out there for you and take full advantage of having your gay friend hook you up with some every once in awhile.

  I didn't call anyone a Nazi. I said that the post was Nazi sounding because, as a person who has a degree in German history 1900-1945, I believe it does, and could find quite a few comparisons in 1930s German propaganda and editorials that would support my viewpoint.

  were you born with the ability to know which girls are attractive and which girls arent? its funny how what people think is attractive today, wasnt attractive 50 or 100 years ago. which gene accounts for that? can you tell me at what age you determined what type of girl you like? just because people cant remember when they DEVELOPED an attraction to guys or girls, doesnt mean they were born with it.

  LOL! Thanks for the compliment. Weak mind was just a loose term. View it as you wish... a born deficiency, a disease, chemical make up, fear of confronting reality, not believing in Adam and Eve, but Adam and Steve, etc...
