    Complicit.
Hmm. I was against NAFTA since 1998-99, despite thinking it was a good idea before it went into law. At that time, Trump had no policy, nor did he have power to enact policy.

    *Edit to add*
I've stated my stance on NAFTA too many times on this forum for it to be in any way misconstrued. My opinion on this has remained unchanged for almost 20 years, for better or for worse. Probably a little of both at times.

And if Clinton had won, a vote for Johnson would have been a vote for Clinton. Isn't it funny how that works?

By extension of the very logic you're using, if a vote for anyone other than the two front-runners is a vote for Trump, then a vote for Trump is actually two votes for Trump.

The media always refers to these folks as anarchists. They are nothing of the sort. They are leftists who would love nothing more than using the power of government to shove their Marxist ideology down all of our throats.
  • iclfan2
I don't get how conservatives have to take the blame for white supremacists but the media pretends anarchists and antifa have nothing to do with the left.

    Um ...

Anti-fascism and anti-government movements aren't really the sort of thing you could justifiably link to "the left." The ideology alone of each would be a non-starter.

Bingo. A substantial portion of neo-anarchists hold to the NAP.

Antifa really isn't ant-facism though. They are the living embodiment of facism. Its pretty much Alinsky 101 at this point. Accuse the other side of being what you are.

Progressives are trying to take away Freedom of Speech, Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Assembly, and of course, the Right to Bear Arms. All the while, they are accusing Conservatives of the first three.
  • iclfan2
Yea I get the anarchists maybe not being left, but all signs point to antifa as being left. Never heard of them until Trump existed, and they magically show up at lefty rallies and "protests". There also isn't fascism here, so wtf does antifa even mean?

Ok, I read that last night and I read it again, just now. By no means am I a fan of Bernie Sanders or his political ideology, but everybody with .25% of a brain knew the man got screwed. Honestly, I cannot believe the brass that these people have.
The DNC attorneys even go so far as to argue that the words “impartial” and “evenhanded”—used in the DNC Charter—can’t be interpreted by a court of law.
How in the world could they come to that conclusion?!

A successful stereotyping. Much like how the right does a good job of painting the left as being wasteful with taxpayer $$$ despite them being just as bad.

Dems oppose every 'R' president. What makes country magically have something to do with it this time around?

Agreed. The DNC is practically outing itself as not caring about its voter base. I don't like much of Sanders' platform either, but you're right; he got bent over a barrel.

I did some digging into them last night. I didn't know much about the movement. Only that the term is used to mean "anti-fascism." It seems like they were born out of the "safe-space" movement in a university, shortly before Halloween 2015, when a student went on a screaming tirade at one of the school's officials in regard to said official NOT attempting to censor Halloween outfits that might be seen as offensive to some. She argued that leaders of colleges were not charged with creating an "intellectual space," but rather a "home" for the students.

    Oh sweet Moses.

Okay, they're definitely not anti-fascism. They're anti-free speech, it would appear, and certainly not above violence or destruction of private property.

I maintain that neo-anarchists oppose both those things, though, and they stand at odds with the NAP.
  • CenterBHSFan
Here's what is worrisome to me about antifa: If they keep throwing M80's at people or clocking them with bicycle locks, they'll eventually end up killing somebody. At that point, it will turn into nothing short of non-Jewish pogroms. Actually you could technically describe them as such right now.
Very inflammatory statement, I know. But true by the very definition.

Just wait until the global warming hysteria calms down. Then these people are really going to lose their shit.

It's already starting. People are starting to get REALLY upset that the earth is not warming nearly as fast as some people want it to.

More like conservatives can't handle science. Reality doesn't exist in a book written 5,000 years ago but in the science journals produced by experts in their field.
