Disgusted with Trump administration - Part I

If you're point is that he doesn't come from the political class I'd say that's maybe true but at least debatable. At the very least he rubbed elbows with that class and probably greased a few wheels in his favor. If you were trying to say he's someone who understands the daily struggles of the common American family (as he positioned himself on the campaign trail) I'd strongly disagree with thatAzubuike24;1836553 wrote:Oh Trump is definitely rich and egotistical, and is far from the poster boy or ideal image, but he's not part of the same elite club that has been running things for the last 30 years. Sure, they were all portrayed as having their partisan views and sides, but from a high level perspective, it just saw the same cronies in power over such long periods of time, that who held offices became less and less important. He didn't build his wealth from politics and for the most part, didn't become president with other people's money. And while I think he's a narcissist who is in this to boost his ego and his businesses, he also wants to blow up politics as we know it and bring as many down as he can.
As I've said in prior posts. The single scariest thing to this world would be absolute transparency about the U.S. Government. Trump is the closest thing we will probably ever get to opening that up, regardless of whether your left or right. -

Yeah transparency by lying to the media daily and placing Devos, who bought Senators and has ZERO educational experience other than running Michigan schools into the ground, as DoE Secretary is working real nicely.Azubuike24;1836557 wrote:Never said that.
However, he's willing to expose all of his skeletons in-exchange for making sure everyone else (both individuals and groups) get put on blast.
As someone who is right and left on a variety of things, that's what I want to see. True linear transparency into the media, government organizations, drug companies, banks, etc...and the money trail and influence from top to bottom. -
Azubuike24I wouldn't go that far, because name me a politician running from President, or even congress, who does? They have all handled more money, had more power and made bigger decisions than 99.99% of the people who will cast the ballot vote.
My point with Trump is, he seems to be willing go down for everything and anything he's ever done (it's just the beginning) if he can expose many of the others. And I DO believe because he's rubbed shoulders and been in the same crowds enough to see what's going on, he's got a plan on how to do it. Will that make his term(s) as POTUS great? Probably not. However, I'd rather move in that direction than have anyone from the Hilary, McCain, Kasich, etc crowd in the White House.
On a side note, I'm involved in some local political organizations and it's quite clear that there's only so high you can go if you're a common citizen before you're either accepted into this group, do something to be embraced by them or you're simply silenced. -

They all take money but at least some of them have experience in the field. Devos has ZERO experience in education other than running Michigan schools into the ground with the same model she wants to bring nationally. It's crony capitalism at its finest and Republican defend it!Azubuike24;1836565 wrote:I wouldn't go that far, because name me a politician running from President, or even congress, who does? Get used to the protests because they aren't going anywhere. -

I've said before that DeVos is a joke. And I've already said in this thread I think Trump isn't really executing this much better than anyone else (except using Twitter). You're smart enough to realize what I mean with the media though. In my eyes, with today's technology, it starts with everyday people being the media. Not waiting for Fox News, CNN, NYT, Huffington, etc...to decide to cover it, or allowed to buy the on-the-ground material and let us see what they want.sleeper;1836563 wrote:Yeah transparency by lying to the media daily and placing Devos, who bought Senators and has ZERO educational experience other than running Michigan schools into the ground, as DoE Secretary is working real nicely. -

Yep, and I've heard Elizabeth Warren say no less than a dozen times how Trump's agenda is all about lining the pockets of big corporations, big business, etc. Great...I'll take her seriously when we get a 100% transparent list of every dime she's ever received. I wonder how many would fit into the very definition of what she's railing against.sleeper;1836567 wrote:They all take money but at least some of them have experience in the field. And I agree with her on DeVos. And of course the protests aren't going anywhere. The money won't let them. -
sleeperI'm ready for impeachment. This is an absolutely travesty of a Presidency.
GOP will regret the Trump election. They own it. -
Azubuike24I didn't vote for DJT...but I am not ready to impeach him and I sure as hell don't want Pence as the POTUS.

I don't want him impeached. I think he's an awful president, but I think his flaws make him manageable. He lacks the ability to control his actions on social media, and he doesn't know enough about the process to get things done quietly.sleeper;1836570 wrote:I'm ready for impeachment. Pence knows the system better and has some open positions that seem worse than Trump's open positions. I think he'd be worse. -

I don't think that's how impeachments tend to work. Despite the fact that we vote them into office as a packaged deal (which I don't care for), I don't think we impeach them as a packaged deal.sleeper;1836575 wrote:Pence can go to. -
Azubuike24Funny to say, but the VPOTUS doesn't really do much and wouldn't ever have the grounds to be impeached unless it was something egregious. I agree with O-Trap, Trump is actually more manageable and able to be influenced than someone right there with him, but more politically savvy.

Ha! the GOP as we used to know it has regretted Trump since he secured the party's nomination. They fought it , some to the very end.sleeper;1836570 wrote:I'm ready for impeachment. This is an absolutely travesty of a Presidency.

DJT is progressive spawn. He is president because of pushing the progressive agenda too hard and too fast. You don't have Trump without BHO and the progressives. The Dems did everything they could to help him secure the nomination. He is the one they wanted to face Hillary. He is the child born of their irresponsibility and hubris....and now they want to abort him just like they want to abort all the little inconveniences and consequences of their actions.
Own it. You did it. -

They are both complicit in the destruction of democracy. They deserve to both be charged with Treason but I'll take impeachment as a consolation prize.O-Trap;1836576 wrote:I don't think that's how impeachments tend to work. Sorry, but GOP 100% owns Trump. This is the new Republican party and he is your leader. You own it.HitsRus;1836578 wrote:Ha! the GOP as we used to know it has regretted Trump since he secured the party's nomination. They fought it , some to the very end.

sleeperGOP Senators have fallen in line and green stamped every one of Trump's actions. Where is his opposition in the Republican party?
Party over country. GOP owns Trump; Trump owns the GOP. -

What actions of which you know qualify them for being charged with treason? "Destruction of democracy" is not, as far as I know, a criminal offense from a legal standpoint.sleeper;1836579 wrote:They are both complicit in the destruction of democracy. Hilarious. But let's keep doing what we've done for the last 40 years; half the world has passed us by.sleeper;1836567 wrote:They all take money but at least some of them have experience in the field. That is precisely why he ended up winning the election. You don't have to be one who struggles to understand that some are struggling, and why, and know how to fix it. We haven't had business leaders and job creators at the White House for 3 weeks straight for no good reason. He is taking their full input on how to get the economy growing again so that those struggling at least will have a fighting chance. Compare and contrast that with obama who brought in academia, media and law ...............as though any of them ever did anything in the real world that would positively affect the 'struggling'.
It remains rather humorous to me that the left, with all its superior intellect, still doesn't get it. -

Read about German history in the late 1930's then compare to the US in 2017. I'm sure the Germans would like to go back and charge Hitler with Treason before it was too late.
