Disgusted with Trump administration - Part I

They should probably be a little more clear about this, then. It would disarm that argument against them.Spock;1833703 wrote:Sleeper doesn't realize that the right is not concerned about taking rights from anyone. Oh, look. The "March for Life" is coming up. Bet the majority of the people marching will be Republicans. -

Don't kid yourself. There are plenty of far right republicans who don't want abortions to be legal and even some who probably think birth control should not exist.Spock;1833703 wrote:Sleeper doesn't realize that the right is not concerned about taking rights from anyone. I think you're thinking of the right moderates and libertarians. They don't want the government funding any of that. Sadly, as sleeper would label them, there is a lot of "trash" reproducing. That fact alone makes me warm up to free birth control and I hate socialized health care. -
iclfan2Women's "rights" lawls. It was an abortion march and nothing else. If you were pro-life you were not invited. Women crying about free shit is hilarious. If my wife went, we'd be divorced. Luckily I didn't marry a retard and she couldn't think of one right she doesn't have that men have.

I'd contemplate it yes, because it meant I married a moron. Again, let me know what rights women don't have. I could have never dated or married a "progressive" liberal who complains about fake freedoms and rights taken away by "the man" without any actual facts or real data. For example, anyone that uses the "women are paid less for the same job" argument.SportsAndLady;1833757 wrote:You'd divorce your wife if she went to a women's right march? Lol -
AutomatikActs all high and mighty because he didn't "marry a moron."
Uses the word retard in the same post.
I love it. -
iclfan2High and mighty? And yes the word retard was probably a bad choice. My main point in that this is that the march was stupid. It's for women's rights, yet if a women is pro-life she was not invited? So differing ideas but fighting for the same "rights" is frowned upon by this establishment of women? Tampons and birth control should be free, because why should anyone have to pay for their own stuff?

There is plenty that Trump has already done. From openly admitting to sexual assault against women to appointing a woman who thinks guns should be in schools because of Grizzly bears. The March wasn't a protest, but merely a sign of solidarity that rational, intelligent humans are still out there and care about certain issues.Dr Winston O'Boogie;1833680 wrote:The Woman March is a great example of human beings' built in fear of change. Like him or not, Trump hasn't done any of the things these totally unfocused marches are decrying. As Aaron Rogers said "R-E-L-A-X". I did not hear one single person at these marches successfully explain why they were protesting, what they were protesting or how it was to be fixed. A lot of meaningless platitudes ("We will not be silenced!" or "We will not be divided!"), a lot of the usual, uninformed celebrity women like Ashley Judd and Madonna with their vulgor witticisms. But not one meaningful statement.
And it worked. The President spent his first press conference ever embarrassing himself about crowd size to the media, further deepening the embarrassment of the Presidency at his own doing. I learned a lot yesterday about actionable items that rational, intelligent people can do to enact positive change before the 2018/2020 elections. -
AutomatikI don't give a shit if people march/protest peacefully. It's their right. I know a LOT of women who marched over the weekend, in several cities. Some for the right and others for the wrong reasons.

The right to bodily autonomy. They have it now yes, but its constantly under siege by regressive who want to restrict the right of women to make important choices about their bodies.iclfan2;1833761 wrote:I'd contemplate it yes, because it meant I married a moron. We just elected a President who openly admitted to sexually assaulting women, creating an environment where the normalization of sexual violence against women has been validated at the highest level. -

Lol, I'm not disagreeing with your points on the march. I even said earlier that all these people marching should just go home.iclfan2;1833761 wrote:I'd contemplate it yes, because it meant I married a moron. I just thought it was a bit much to say you'd divorce your wife if she went to a march about women's rights. It was just very ironic to me [emoji23] -

Pro-life women weren't invited because they want to restrict the rights of women to make the choice to have an abortion or not. If you are pro-life but respect the ability of women to have control over their own body, then congrats you are pro-choice.iclfan2;1833763 wrote:High and mighty? Pro-life is regressive and anti-women.
No one said anything about free tampons. Free birth control is a women's health issue. Unwanted pregnancies AND abortions have dropped significantly since this was enacted because many poor women can't afford the $50/month to allow them to make healthy choices about their body. The reason this is important for society to reduce negative externalities from poor decisions; person has child, can't afford child, goes on welfare, child turns out poor, etc. That costs significantly more than the government paying $50/month(or less, no clue what negotiated rate is) so everyone that cares about women should be overwhelmingly for this.
Sorry about your wife. I guess she should just stay in the kitchen and pop out babies with a few trips to the washing machine to fold your laundry. Man, weren't the 1800's great? -

I think paying a few $100 million for the health and safety of women is more important than building 100 missiles that we don't need for wars that don't make us safer.Spock;1833703 wrote:Sleeper doesn't realize that the right is not concerned about taking rights from anyone. When you want to grow up and come to reality I guess we can have a discussion.
When it comes to abortion I'm at the point where I think it's fucked up (especially when it gets to the point where they pull out the fetus), but think it's time to compromise. The government shouldn't be funded it plain and simple. The government shouldn't be funding many things that I would be more than happy to slash as well. PP survived for over 50 years without government funding. It's time to grow up and balance our budget. -

Planned parenthood provides health services at a low cost to men and women. When you rally for defunding Planned Parenthood, you rally against the health of women. I think the budget can afford reimbursing low income women AND men for preventative health services instead of building bombs we don't need. That would be the CHRISTIAN thing to do anyways. -

Well I am not Christian so that doesn't really apply to me. Rallying to end government funding on PP is not rallying against the health of women regardless of what troll Sleeper's new act says.
Again, PP survived over 50 years without the governments assistance.
