Trump is an idiot, but Hillary is far worse.ptown_trojans_1;1796421 wrote:Yet people think Hillary is worse.
At she is not an idiot, and calling out fellow SECDEFs and CIA directors.
She flip flops so much she makes the Kerry candidacy look like he never wavered on anything.
She has been caught repeatedly straight out lying to the public and later just saying she "miss remembers".
She is in the middle of an FBI investigation, and not a minor one.
Both of the candidates out right suck, no question about it. This will be the worst two to pick from in the history of my voting life (about 20 years now). However, to seriously get on here and say that Hillary is not that bad is an extremely biased view on the situation. The woman is a terrible person and worse candidate.
I can not stand Trump, he is am embarrassment, but please don't act like Hillary is better. -

His nature may lead us into economic ruin. A trade war with China and Mexico? Do you want your everyday items to increase radically in price?QuakerOats;1796440 wrote:True. I am glad he released his list of supreme court candidates; it appears the conservatives should be happy, along with most Americans. If these are his supremes, I can easily handle his bombastic nature.
Or, he may shoot off his mouth at an ally and totally screw up a relationship. The current UK one is just one example. The guy runs his mouth and he doesn't care about the consequences. Do you want that in a command in chief?
Do you want him to come out after a terror attack, without any facts or all the intelligence in to start making decisions and running his mouth? I don't.
The guy is an idiot that runs his mouth.
Seriously?QuakerOats;1796441 wrote:On any of the major policy points, Trump is ten thousand times better than Clinton. You seem to be allowing his personality get in the way good policy legislation that he would sign, or good justices he would nominate. Too bad.
You are assuming a lot here. You are assuming that Trump will lay down and accept everything that Congress will pass. You are assuming that he will not go against everything he has done his whole life and be an executive and do things his own way. What if Congress cannot get a bill passed on his wall? Would he issued executive orders for those? What if he gets executive order crazy and then suddenly issues more of them than any President?
I also think you all are not considering he wants to radically change our foreign policy that has been set up since 1945. He wants to start trade wars, tear up alliances, and bomb the shit out of ISIS (which I have no idea how we are going to do if we are going to force our allies to pay us before we use the bases).
He would up end any strategic stability we have with counties and our allies would be really uneasy about U.S. commitment around the world. Seriously, the guy is a threat to the current international order. -

Hillary is better than Trump. Denial will not save you. Too bad Obama can't run for a third term though because I'm sure you'd vote for him under those circumstances given how much better he is than Trump mirite?jmog;1796475 wrote:Trump is an idiot, but Hillary is far worse.

There ain't gonna be no trade war if Trump becomes president and, if anything, the Chinese are already on an offensive in any sort of "Trade War" with overt subsidization of the steel industry which is hammering U.S. companies like Cleveland Cliffs.ptown_trojans_1;1796568 wrote:His nature may lead us into economic ruin. It's very simple - Trump is a buffoon and lacks even basic qualifications to be President. The U.S. would survive but he would be a national embarassment. He is more liberal than Romney/Ryan by far on economic issues but at least those men would not be a complete joke.
All of the things that Obama had/has - likeability, character, strong political skills, a good smile, a non-annoying laugh - Hillary lacks but she has many of the things which he did not have - Being willing to use the big stick if need be, basically 8 years as a WH chief of staff, relations with heads of state around the world, a tireless work ethic, the respect of elite Republicans, etc.
You have it right. Trump at the helm in the United States would a joke would undermine U.S. standing in the world. Hillary would not. None of these people who complain about Hillary's lack of pristine character were any more inclined to vote for Obama because of his stellar character. They just will never support a Democrat and they pick a reason why not to support the Democrat. When it is Hillary with more experience than any candidate save George H.W. Bush you can't vote for her because of her character. When it is Obama with exemplary character you can't vote for him because of his lack of experience etc. -
ptown_trojans_1True on most points.
Also, if I am a U.S. ally, France, UK, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Germany, etc. would I trust as a reliable ally someone I have dealt with before, knows the current international system, is more hawkish than Obama, and strongly supports existing agreements?
Or, would I want to trust someone who wants to expel Muslims, bashes heads of states, wants to tear up existing trade agreements, start anew, blow up the international order, end NATO, and refuse to base U.S. troops overseas unless a payment is achieved? Oh, and is also a supporter of Putin?
Seems pretty easy to me if I am a friend of the U.S. Give me the credible candidate rather than the buffoon.
You all crush Obama for being weak and inexperience and crushing relationships with U.S. allies. Yet, Trump would be worse in that he doesn't give a damn about U.S. allies or relationships. He wants to ban all Muslims from the U.S. for crying out loud. The guy is a threat to global stability. -

He has an Ivy league degree just like your buddy barack. And it is actually a degree from the Wharton School of Business, which would be quite a refreshing change from the pinhead Harvard law type. He will do just fine and with a republican congress we will actually get some important stuff accomplished. Your nervousness really stems from the realization that your side might actually lose.BoatShoes;1796574 wrote:It's very simple - Trump is a buffoon and lacks even basic qualifications to be President. -

Hmm, I thought Trump wanted to ban muslims from entering the US until proper vetting of visa's could be established? I might be misremembering that, though, truthfully. I can't really say, as I couldn't care less about the guy.ptown_trojans_1;1796581 wrote:True on most points.

Honestly, I've never been so disengaged from elections in my voting life - either by dems or repubs :/ -
TiernanJesus watta bunch of fuckin' idiots..America is NOT going to put Donald Trump in the WH. Aaaand after the riots and street warfare during the RNC in Cleveburgh (which doesn't have a clue or any resources to stop it from happening) Trump's brand will be equivalent to Walgreens.
Remember when Ol' Tiernan said picking Cleveburgh for the RNC a year ago was a HUUUUGE mistake? God I'll be laughing watching thousands of Thuggers in LeBum gear getting their heads busted in with batons. -

HitsRusThe stuff about vetting refugees was initially Rubio's idea...it may have been co-opted by Trump later on as many of "little Marco's" and "lyin' Ted's ideas have been.
That's the thing about Trump..... He has said so many bombastic, outrageous things then backed off on them to a varying degree or so.... I don't know who he really is.
Or, would I want to trust someone who wants to expel Muslims, bashes heads of states, wants to tear up existing trade agreements, start anew, blow up the international order, end NATO, and refuse to base U.S. troops overseas unless a payment is achieved? Oh, and is also a supporter of Putin?
....nor does anybody else in the world. That is a prescription for serious miscalculations and is dangerous in today's world environment.
At least I can trust Hillary to be Hillary...as repugnant as that may be. I'm probably going to go all the way thru the conventions, and maybe all the way to November before making up my mind who to punch my chad for. I won't vote for democrats/progressives..I have some scruples...but vote for Trump???? he might even be worse.
If there is a reason for me to be upset with "the establishment" , it is because they will compromise their principles to "win" in November...if you actually would consider a Trump presidency a "win". I'm looking for someone in the party to have a spine. -
TiernanThe mass Thugger riots in Cleveburgh at the RNC in July should pretty much kill Trump's run if they don't literally kill him.
-
QuakerOatsIf Trump gets elected most of the rent-a-riot crowd will be out of work; he will let the police do their jobs.
-
TiernanCleveburgh doesn't have the cops or the money needed to adequately protect the slugs that live there during the RNC. And I will LMFAO when the whole thing blows up.
