Rasmussen's record over their history is actually pretty damn good.
Not really. There were some good ones that were not that much. Just read the link and it states some were not bad. It wasn't like everyone was caught off guard by Obama's win. Most polls had the win.
And, Rasmussen has a history of leaning right and being wrong more than most.
Anyone ready Five thirty eight over the years would understand that.

Five Thirty Eight has now increased their polls plus on Trump in Indiana, giving him a 83% of winning.

True. Then again, that was one were everyone was wrong.

the anti-Christ has just quit. One triumph for humanity, decency, a defeat for racism, anti-labor theocracy. One down and one to go.

    Well.
I'm all ears on here on why Trump specifically should be President over Clinton. Just saying his is not as big of a liar than Clinton won't work. Defend your guy.

Your nominee just claimed Cruz's dad helped in the JFK assassination. Classy.

Traditional R's on twitter are starting to switch sides, with the #Imwithher.

Glad to knwo the R party stands for a guy that loves to stretch the truth on a daily basis and has no real concept of trade or foreign policy.

I guess the R's learned nothing from 2008 and 2012.

And, does this mean the tea party is dead? Grass roots conservatives was rejected with Cruz getting burned.

^^^^Tea Party dead? Ha! ...Trump is their candidate.... Anti establishment all the way even if it means compromising their principles. But this is their pinnacle...getting a nominee for president. From here on reality will set in...either in the form of a massive landslide win by the democrats in November, or, even if they manage to win the presidency, they'll have to govern.

Who, exactly, are you meaning this towards? Spock?
  • CenterBHSFan
As far as Trump goes... I don't see how anybody could vote for this guy, anti-establishment or not. Sure, he was entertaining with his mouthy comments for about five minutes. After that, he's got nothing. And, he's way too contradictory with his stances, obviously playing to the crowds who thinks that entertainment equals to being a leader.
    Just... ugh!

Do we want a president that gives blow jobs.... Bill likes blow jobs proven fact.

I would like to know this too. Ptown seems to keep harping on this. I said this before, but I'm pretty sure 95% of this site already knows trump is a complete waste.

There is a very small minority on this site that is excited about this upcoming general election.

I don't really claim a party and have voted on both sides. I'm as "middle of the road" as they come. I voted for Kasich in the primary and have not supported Trump this entire election.

I will vote for Trump over Clinton and there isn't too much that can change that.

They're all liars and crooks. They justify it by saying it's to protect the American people, and maybe that's partially accurate. But Clinton's leadership has led to the unnecessary death of American soldiers (Benghazi) and a threat to our National Security (emails). If her leadership as Secretary of State is that careless, how could she be a good leader of the free world?

I'm not excited about checking a box next to Donald Trump, but it's better than the alternative.

    It is pretty simple:

Trump will sign the bill to repeal obamaKare; clinton will not.
Trump will sign the bill to reduce taxes (corporate and individual); clinton will not.
Trump will have the backs of the military and the police and let them do their jobs the right way; clinton will not.
Trump will sign the bills limiting the power and rule-making authority of EPA, OSHA, MSHA, NLRB; clinton will not.
Trump will nominate right-leaning candidates to the supreme court; clinton WILL NOT.
Trump will address the illegal immigration problem; clinton will not.

Obviously the differences do not end there, but knowing the above makes it quite simple to vote for Trump over the inept, lying, money-laundering, criminal bitch. I am not a big Trumpster, but there can be absolutely no question that he would be a thousand times better than her.

My prediction: Trump will not do any of that lol

My prediction is clinton will be obama III and continue to massively grow government, advocate for unsustainable $15+ minimum wages, allow every agency to completely regulate business out of business, pack the supreme court with radical liberal 'justices', and finish the job of ruining our military, all while leaving the flood of illegal immigrants go unchecked and further expanding the welfare/'disability' state, and raise your taxes to pay for it. She will do all of that, and more.

The differences are stark; the choice is simple (even if you don't like Trump).

That's a cool prediction and all but just an awful response to what I was saying about Trump, not Hillary.

Trump is the biggest joke of a nominee ever. GOP needs to change and fast; what a disaster.

So by lowering taxes, what is Trump's plan to address the ever growing budget for entitlements and DoD spending? When and how much will he cut to offset the increased expenditure as well as the lower tax revenue from your tax cuts? Is he going to cut Medicare? Social Security? Medicaid? Dod spending? Which one and how much?

Lower tax rates generate higher tax revenues (why, oh why, do we have to continue to explain that fact); couple that with spending cuts which should be easy (because the extra $800 billion spent during the crisis of '08-'09 NEVER WENT AWAY). We rocketed from spending $2.7 trillion to $3.5 trillion in one year, and have yet to back off. How the hell did that happen? Eliminate that extra by 33% a year over 3 years. Do that to stop the bleeding, then tackle major reforms to medicare and social security. Get the federal government out of the health care industry - period. Lastly, eliminate major departments and agencies, particularly those that interfere with the states or are duplicative in nature --- education, epa, and on and on and on ........... heck, over 150 agencies/commissions/offices go away with the end of obamaKare alone.

Lower tax rates do not necessarily generate higher tax revenues. It's a curve; so finding the optimal balance is the important part and I think we are significantly lower than optimal with our current individual tax structure. On corporate tax rates, I would agree that they are far too high and not competitive with the rest of the world. I'd like to see individual rates rise slightly for everyone(1%) and the creation of a new tax bracket for income over $2M at 48%. In addition, corporate tax rates should be reduced to 25% to fall more in line with the rest of the world. I'd also add a one-time provision allowing for companies to repatriate any international cash holdings at a rate of 15%; then in the same motion, ban any future provisions allowing for this to happen again.

The $800B went to increases in the entitlement programs from more and more Boomers retiring. Glad to see you are willing to cut entitlement programs by 33% though; good luck in convincing politicians to cut money from old people! I agree on eliminating the DoE but not the EPA although I would certainly be more than open to reducing the size of scope of all federal agencies. There's a ton of waste in government.

Yeah, but it will be fun over the next six months watching Quaker going crazy trying to convince himself and anyone who actually pretends to take him seriously that Trump will (if he takes office) immediately change from a flamboyantly over-the-top asshole into a bastion of conservative values.

I suppose it says a lot about how depressing this election is going to be that my main bright spot is all the laughing I'll be doing at people trying to find ways to praise the candidates. And it's even more depressing that, of the final four who had anything resembling a legit chance (sorry, Kasich), these two were the best options. With Bernie, it'd be four years of him ineffectually yelling at Congress and the Senate while none of his ideas got passed. And Cruz is religious right, as well as one of the creepiest dudes on the planet. No thanks.

This is the one thing that tempts me to vote for Trump. Once Hillary is elected the second amendment is doomed.
