    I will take your claim that Hillary won't be president to the bank as fast as I would have taken your claims that the polling was off in the 2012 election and that nobody was "sniffing 300 electoral votes" which is the particular language you used if I can recall.

    The right wing media is floating all kinds of rumors that Hillary is "ill" or "sick" and there might be some truth to this talk but probably mostly right wing nonsense as is par for the course.

    If she runs she wins.

    And, 2020, the next census year, is a presidential election. While the democrats will once again face a set back in 2018 if she's the president, they will trounce again in 2020 and then that is when the gerrymandering of 2010 can be undone.

    You remind me of one of our friends in Singapore from France who knew EVERYTHING about American politics, could tell us what was wrong and how he'd solve everything - turned out he had never even been to the USA (which is very strange for a Euro).

    Here is a helpful note - people don't like being told that what they experienced is different than what it was, from someone that didn't experience it.     Here is a helpful note...Whether or not you lived in Singapore or not, it remains true that the Singapore healthcare system is much more Socialist than the United States as per the definition of Socialism. If you do not like the definition of Socialism then your problem is with history and etymology, not with me.

    Here are the facts. You dislike Healthcare in the UK. You have praised Healthcare in Singapore. They are both varying degrees of Socialism, By Definition. The System in the UK receives high degrees of satisfaction per survey results. Indeed, maybe I have even been to the countries that you're assuming I have not been to and could provide my own anecdotal experience. But I would not bring that fact up because it is irrelevant just like it my own experience with firearms in the Navy was irrelevant to the actual arguments in the gun control threads. Personal anecdotal experiences are not informative.

    As is the left wing media. You're either spinning, or not paying very close attention. All one has to do is look at her, and see that there's something going on. You do what you want of course, but I'd start working on building up that bench a little bit. After Hillary, there's nothing there.

    You see, people always make the mistake that "narrowing the wealth gap" means raising the poor....it can also be accomplished by lowering the wealthy :)

    The House voted Friday to delay ObamaCare's individual mandate to buy health insurance for a decade, as part of a bill that would spare doctors from drastic cuts to their Medicare payments at the end of the month.
    The vote was 237-182 with nearly all Democrats opposed. Now the bill goes to the Senate, where it's expected to die.
    The vote was the latest in dozens of GOP-led efforts to undermine the Affordable Care Act. Democrats have blasted Republicans for attaching the ObamaCare measure to the critical Medicare issue, known as the "doc fix."
    If lawmakers are unable to prevent Medicare reimbursement rates from seeing a 24 percent cut, many doctors could start to opt out, threatening the entire Medicare system.
    The combination prompted opposition by the American Medical Association. That's despite the group's advocacy for changes in the Medicare payment system.
    The vote is the first attacking the president's health care law since Republicans won an election for a House seat this week in a campaign that featured health care as an issue.



    And some people think there is no difference between repubs and dems. The obamaKare disaster was forced upon The People by democrats ONLY, and they continue to stand in the way of doing the Will of The People.

    Only in conservative fantasy land. It actually has made the poor and the sick way better off already and will continue to do so. The American healthcare delivery system failed millions and millions of people. The people who are satisfied the most within it are those on Medicare, a socialist healthcare delivery system for the elderly.

    Enjoy ranting about Obummercare while you can because it is only going to get better and more entrenched from here...just like Medicare.

    Indeed you should be happy that Obama passed Obummercare because it actually entrenched a workable form of private capitalism with private sector delivered health services and insurance plans while mitigating market failures. Obummer could have rammed through Single-Payer but chose Romneycare instead and it could have been better but it will turn out just fine. Hope this helps.

    I am completely satisfied with my insurance and my doctor and my health care, as are 90% of the rest of Americans with private insurance and excellent doctors and hospitals. What the hell do you not understand about these facts?

    Your side fucked up; they claimed they were going to somehow provide insurance to the un-insured; they have failed - miserably. And in the process they are ruining health care, for all of us. Why don't you just own up to this historic failure? Seriously, admitting your failings is the first step in the recovery process.

    When are you going to understand that your paranoid rants do not correspond to reality? Healthcare has NOT been ruined under any reasonable definition of the term "ruin". The sky has not fallen. There has been zero "destruction". Indeed, every person the GOP trots out as some sad victim of Obummercare has actually benefited. As with all laws, there are winners and losers and the losers are healthy, young men...but they are not "losing" that badly, they were already losers in collective private insurance group plans and in the aggregate are society is achieving greater aggregate happiness.

    There are still excellent doctors and hospitals but now more people are getting to go them.

    Obummercare is irreversibly entrenched. Even a GOP candidate that wins will own up to this fact when in office after he lies to the base to get elected.

    The sad part is that you are so irredeemably partisan is that I like to laugh about another possible world where Mitt Romney is capable of winning an election and Quakeroats is praising Romneycare on message boards across teh internetz.

    Indeed, Obamacare will slowly and gradually become a third rail and become very popular....just like Medicare did.

    A classic point is how you, as you near retirement, a self-proclaimed conservative, argue against cuts to the largest socialist program in the world, Medicare. Principled Conservatives in their 40's and 50's will soon be arguing against any proposed cuts to subsidized private health insurance that are thanks to Obamacare and makes their lives much better.

    Young men who don't vote are not a strong constituency for repeal.
