Tristan Thompson out 2-4 weeks with a foot injury.

Some rough Sexton Stats I came across on reddit:
- sexton has driven to the basket about 8x per game. when he shoots on drives, he's making 42% of his shots
- he was tied with lebron as taking the 12th-most pull-up jumpers after 7+ dribbles. sexton was making 30% of them. next worst was zach lavine at 36%. next worst was at 42%.
- he has the worst VORP in the nba (complex stat, and certainly isn't an end-all be-all stat, but not a great sign)
- he ranks 17th in the nba by taking 4.1 2PA/game while holding the ball for 6+ seconds. he's making 32.8% of those shots. zach lavine is (again) the next worst, this time at 41.6% (9% better)
- the cavs are being outscored by 22 points per 100 possessions when sexton is on the floor, per basketball-reference
The VROP and -22 +/- are particularly crazy.

He’s struggled the last few games for sure.

So needs to quit pounding the ball for so many one on one type plays
So young and room for improvement...he’s had some real good games

Don't quote me on this but more like the last few weeks.
He had a nice stretch and then regressed. Could be hitting the rookie wall since he's used to playing 30-40 games a season.
Turned on the game tonight as Austin Carr was yelling about a Jordan Clarkson three pointer that pulled them within eight. Bless that guy for the garbage he has to watch every night.
Soooo, not sure if anyone's heard about this but Koby Altman may have really screwed up this time.I doubt the league does anything about this but if the Cavs are penalized, they could lose their 2019 1st round pick....

Saw that yesterday but didn’t see any site mention they could lose a 1st round pick?
If the Cavs get penalized for that, fuck the NBA and crying Warriors.

Heard about it on my drive in. Wasn't aware of the story until I heard about it this morning.

This story thinks it's unlikely to happen, but...
There’s a .01% chance the NBA would cripple one of its franchises by taking away the #1 (or close) pick because they cost the warriors some luxury tax money. They’ll get a fine and nothing else. The moves the Cavs made were all legal as part of the CBA.
lol...not exactly a glowing endorsement...

3. Cody Allen (30, 3.91 ERA, 0.3 WAR) -- I'm not a fan of homer-prone closers, and Allen has allowed 28 the past three seasons, including 11 in 2018, while also coming off a career-worst 4.70 ERA. The fastball was down to 94.0, 2 mph below where it sat in 2015. Looks like a risky bet.
Best fits: Angels, Diamondbacks, Mariners
Prediction: Diamondbacks. He can't be any worse than Brad Boxberger was in 2018.

But he has worked on his 15-foot jumper, so he could give some minutes off the bench. Just not worth elite $$$.

lol--sorry, wrong thread :(
He’d honestly probably be a top 8 player on the Cavs.
Well this is a shitty season, but this article by Richard Jefferson is a feel good article. He gives Cleveland a lot of love.
Off topic but I love how King "Front Runner" shows up to root for the Cowboys, then goes into the Cowboys AND Rams locker room after the game. I'm sure he'll make an appearance in the Browns locker room when they are in the AFC Championship next year
I'm honestly impressed with how bad the Cavs have been.

I’m impressed the FO thought this team was a playoff team LOL.
Everyone want Zion if we end up getting first pick?

sure, why not
I'd be happy with Zion.
I think they're better than the Knicks somehow. That's probably about it though.
