I've seen him play. He graded a decent LT against a shitty Lions backup squad. I don't understand why you're trying to talk yourself into a the decisions. You can be excited about the Browns and think they're on the way up while also remaining objective about certain dumb decisions the proven incompetent HC is doing. Doesn't have to be 100% one way or the other.

I’m not talking myself into any decision. I understand the reasoning behind it. Bitonio is an elite guard. Moving him outside hurts the inside line. It’s not like Harrison is absolutely terrible. He went undrafted bc of character concerns and the fact he couldn’t stay academically eldgible in college. I’m not going to get all bent out of shape bc he’s starting, especially when it’s going to have 90% chance of rain and we need to run the ball well to win.

The bright side about that rain forecast is that Steeler fans will finally get a shower.

Well then, even more reason to start Bitonio at LT and Corbett at LG. Harrison has graded negatively in the run game, probably bc he's light in the ass. Either way, I think we've beaten this horse to death.

I doubt this happens but if the forecast stays static, this game could get postponed. Local weather guy saying "hurricane-like conditions" with "major flooding (5-7 inches of rain between Saturday night & Sunday).

They really do. I'll also add Harrison to that list. He's been charged with 2 penalties, and two sacks.

I can't blame him, he barely played! They put him in there. He's the least of my worries, but yes has played bad

Weird weird weird game. Take aways:

  • TT should not be starting
  • All hail defense

I was going to post that anyone that is happy with this result needs to GTFO, but I like BRF.  Now I am conflicted.

When your defense plays that well, a tie is embarrassing.

A few observations: One, kudos to the defense for forcing 5 turnovers and two, I'd like to say I'm "done" with Tie-rod Taylor but he was never my horse in the race. Mayfield gives this team a MUCH more impressive dynamic, offensively.

I warned people they'd be banging their heads in frustration after seeing all of the points Taylor leaves on the field. Unfortunately, dumbass Hue is going to think "TT gave us a chance to win" when, in fact, he was a liability/

Am I "cool" with today's result? Hell NO! I was EXPECTING a Browns victory. NO MORAL VICTORIES. Frankly, I'm pissed with the outcome.

After having more time to let this sink in, I'm even MORE pissed. This franchise had a chance to potentially have a season changing opening day win, and they STILL couldn't close the deal. Defense kept giving them chance after chance and the QB, O-Line and O-Coordinator pissed it away. Now, it's likely they go down to New Orleans and come back 0-2 for another "must win" against the Jets.

We didn't lose to the Steelers in God knows how long. I'm happy.

I get where you're coming from, though. ;-)

BTW....I know many of you hold the PFF grading system in high regard. For those who subscribe, I'd like to hear how Harrison & Bitonio graded out. Have heard they played liked crap, from some, but have also heard that 5 of those 7 sacks were on Tie-Rod for holding the ball too long.

EDIT: Just got part of my answer. Cut & pasted this from the OBR: "Tyrod averaged 2.99 seconds to throw. 7th best among all QBs yesterday." Wasn't all O-Line

EDIT 2: Also sounds like Hubbard was the weak link on the O-Line giving up the 4 sacks to TJ Watt.

It won’t end the #Browns’ winless streak, but the NFL’s head of officiating told me #Browns DE Myles Garrett shouldn’t have been flagged for roughing the passer, leading to a #Steelers TD in Sunday’s tie. Four other calls for landing on QB were correct.
