Yes.

I'm rather skeptical when it comes to supplements. The majority of them are bullshit, but this one has me interested.

That is 100% BS and Rogan is a conspiracy theory idiot.

I remember looking into this awhile ago and coming to the conclusion that it is bullshit.

Want mental clarity? Take care of yourself. Eat right, stop drinking, exercise, and get enough sleep.

Sidenote: I love the episodes regarding cataclysms and ancient civilizations.

I'm mostly interested in trying it for before sleep.

Wouldn't chamomile be cheaper and more scientifically proven?

I take melatonin occassionally. It gives me wild dreams.

I'm just curious to see if anyone here has tried Alpha Brain.

I read somewhere that the body will stop making melatonin if it is taken artificially, I used to take it, but stopped after reading that

That doesn’t seem correct, maybe if it’s abused. I take it occasionally and don’t sleep any worse (I sleep like shit regardless) without it

Doc told me a couple of years ago I'd be facing a double knee replacement (currently bone on bone) but this new treadmill has been working like a champ. Absorption on this thing has pretty much taken away the constant pain in my knees. Keeping my fingers crossed this keeps up.

I mentioned it before, probably on the previous forum, but I've been dealing with on and off knee stiffness for around 2 years now.

I went to PT last year and it helped, but I quit when I realized it was becoming a waste of time/money and I could do the exercises at home. A lot of them were balance related and it helped.

So recently the stiffness is back and for the hell of it I started learning how to use a balance board....my gf has a knockoff "indo board." It's pretty damn fun, but difficult to learn. I flew off of it a few times, but I'm getting the hang of it. I'm thinking of getting one with an angled "rock" under it to go more side to side to replicate snowboarding.

Tightened the diet up as of last week. Strict IF during the week, loose counting of macros, the works.

I work for a baked goods company and lately the amount of trash I've been consuming is absurd. I'm trying out a local meal prep service for lunch. It's somewhat pricey but surprisingly damn good. Options for lunch are very slim where I work and I don't have the time to prep.

Also been getting my lunk on at a nearby Planet Fitness. My gf is a member, free guests always. Wow, it's pretty bad. Nice, but the equipment selection really sucks. Cardio area is 80% of the gym, no flat benches at all. It's still better than my apartment gym and a block away, so I'll keep it up for now.

I don't think you could pay me to work out at planet fitness.  Do you cook most of your dinners?  I do the cooking, so I normally make enough to take for lunch the next day.  Makes it a lot easier than MEAL PREP SUNDAYS imo.

Yes, I cook all the time, and I do that when I can. Lately I've been working long hours, so just not enough time. I have a healthy spot near my so I go there a lot after workouts. I don't do the meal prep thing, maybe for a day or two, but leftovers after 2 days or so puts me off.

I'm looking forward to spring and being able to workout outside. I'm over winter.

Before I bought the treadmill for my house, I debated getting a membership there just for the treadmill until I got my own. No way I'd go into their weight area though. I know they have the no "lunkheads" (or whatever it is) policy but I just can't fathom a gym with dumbbells that only go up to 60 lbs. To each their own though as they've carved out their niche and seem to be pretty successful.

The place didn't even have a PULL UP BAR. Eye candy galore though.

Do they still not allow dead lifts?  Squats?

They only have smith machines. Like I said, free weight area is tight anyway, the place is definitely cardio/machine focused. I miss walking up to an empty squat rack. I've been doing deads and squats with dumbbells for the past year or so.

Deadlifts with dumbbells? LOL had to look up how that would even work.

You can use kettlebells too, if available. It does the trick. I like using them for sumo style.

I'll do those on my secondary full muscle group day, similar to row, I need to remember not to supinate my wrist out and keep them parallel
