Played today at my new club. First time playing 18. I’ve only played 9 the other times. Shot an 82. It’s not an overly tough club.  The greens are slower than most private clubs. Good shape though and a lot of hills so elevation changes and some blind shots. It’s been good to get back to golfing again. I haven’t golfed at all besides an outing or 2 in the last 5 or so years.

Went out at 12:20 with my brother-in-law today. There was a twosome ahead of us, and an incredibly slow, erratic foursome ahead of them. We caught up to the two guys ahead of us on 3 and joined them for the front nine. They mentioned to the pro the group ahead was slow, so he went and talked to them, it looked like they switched to a scramble for the rest of the round and played in a reasonable time.

BUT. The 5th hole is a awkward par 3. The first guy puts his shot about 8 feet away. The second guy drains it for a fucking HIO and we all lost our minds. The best experience I've ever had on a golf course. My BIL puts his just off the green. And of course I put mine short and give myself an uphill chip.

At the end of the hole we had:

1 Hole in one
1 Birdie
1 Par
1 Bogey

We hit for the cycle.

Shot a 93 at Shaker Run. Felt good about my game. Probably about as good as I could play.

Has anyone used no1 grips? I picked up a wedge with one on it and I really like it. I never heard of it before, but they seem pretty good.

I shot a 54 last night and had a bad case of the shanks. Shot a 42 tonight. Golf is stupid. I love golf.

Played at Carrington Golf Club up in Monroe, MI on Saturday. Nice course it was just really wet from all the rain overnight.

Playing at Maumee Bay Thursday morning. We will see how that goes.

I played the muni by my house 3 weeks ago, shot a 101 but i had a 6 hole run where i was only 4 over (Par, bogey, double, birdie, bogey, par, bogey) then i had 2 11's on par 5's  where i was chop suey.

2 weeks ago we went to myrtle beach and i played 36 holes 1 day and another 18 the last day of that trip. i played well, but 2 of the courses we played were humbling (like 135-140 slope ratings) i shot 112 at prestwick, 95 at indigo creek (honestly i can attribute 5 strokes to how poor that course's condition was). then i shot a smooth 102 (I'm proud of that score actually at Tidewater.

Last week I played Montour Heights and shot a respectable 106, that is a fun course and it was my first time seeing it, i was aiming at the wrong green on 2 different holes and added some strokes doing that.

i also wanted to say that i was fitted for a putter about a month ago and bought a max toe weighted putter my putting has dramatically improved, like 10' and in is finally better than 50% for me. If you have the opportunity to do that, i recommend it. The only reason i did it was because Ping was having a demo day at the muni while i was there on the range.

Nice, I've been considering a putter fitting at Club Champion but my putting has improved recently on its own. I might go that route if things start to unravel.

I've been trying to find a push cart over the last few days. Good fuckin' luck. Sheesh. The one I want (Sun Mountain Speed Cart) is sold out everywhere.

Followed up my 42 on the back 9 with a 49 on the front 9 today. Combo 91 isn't bad for me on that course.

Was +3 thru 3, then went triple, triple to sit +9 thru 5. Finished the last two holes at +1, so that was nice.

Played at Maumee Bay the other day. Course was really in good shape but you better keep it on the fairway. Lots of water and high heather. I shot a 101, which isn’t too terrible for me.

We’re playing at Wolf Creek tomorrow in Adrian.

Went out by myself for the first time ever. Kinda scary how much I liked it lol.

First 3 holes I had a 3-4 minute wait before every shot. 4th hole I called clubhouse and asked if it’s back to back the entire course and they were like yes unfortunately. Took me 30 min to play the 4th hole. 5th hole I said fuck it and drove up past 4-5 groups, fully expecting to just go home. But soon as I got to the 7th hole I realized it was a foursome that was hitting the ball 15 yards at a time. And I had the whole rest of the course to myself. Went birdie, bogey, par par par in the first 5 holes after I realized I was on my own from here on out. Was incredible

I love solo golf. Have to be willing to wait, like you did, unfortunately. Glad you got an open course ahead of you!

Yeah it was nice after I passed 2 holes. There was a foursome, 2 older couples. And when I passed them the one woman hit the ball 8 feet. No wonder it was so jammed.
