Last week he said he would support the movement of it weren’t for these videos. My contention was that he didn’t support the moment so he searches for videos that confirm his bias. 93% of protests are peaceful. He doesn’t post any peaceful protest videos just the small percent of ugly things that happen
If someone is a part of the "defund the police" part of the movement, I believe they have the moral responsibility to do something about the 7%.

93%....that's an interesting number. Not 90%, not 95%. 93%, that's what we're saying? Well, maybe if everyone does they're best, they can get that number up to 94% this weekend. At my high school, that was the difference between an A- and an A.

It seemed like not long ago that number was 99.9%.

Can we go back (like we did for fireman in the 1800's) to opting out of public service? For example if you are a former TV child star who thinks it is ok for grown ass men to sniff children's hair and wants to defund the police, would it be ok to exempt them from the police responding to said persons 911 call?

I didn’t just pull a number out of a hat
I didn't think you pulled it out of a hat. But doesn't 93% sound like a funny number for something like this? Funny not because it is a good or bad amount of violence. But funny because someone is actually trying to quantify something that has not concrete meaning? It's like saying 93% of people are good.

There’s a white supremacy group who has protested in downtown Columbus once a month for the last several years. It’s always a bunch of dbags marching around with signs in front of the statehouse. They are peaceful 100% of the time. If they decide to kill someone in their next protest they could just say look we’ve had 100 protests and only one had violence so we’re peaceful 99% of the time. But when that happens your not going to see people going out of their way to defend the protesters and point out 99% of the time they are peac

Yeah it’s a useless stat. It’s also not fair to compare a three person BLM event in Pataskala, Ohio to a BLM event in Seattle and compare them equally.

I believe they did try to quantify it
My point is that they're trying to quantify something that is arbitrary, has not context, etc. It's like saying 93% of the people in the world are funny.
