Nice. I don't remember the exact month, but it's been about a decade for me.
I only remember because it was shortly after the 2002 midterm election. Sparked a lot of political discussion between myself and a fairly wide assortment of people that eventually pushed me over the hill.

I've recently come to the conclusion that - do whatever drug you want, however much you want, on two conditions:
1.) You must carry life insurance (or a pre-paid funeral plan)
2.) One dose of Narcan only (perhaps not even that)
The reason for life insurance is so that you won't be a financial burden on your family or society if you kill yourself.
Is that after they have robbed and stolen everything from their family, friends, and neighbors? Who makes them whole? Oh, I forgot, drugs are victimless crimes.

The work? I've likely done every bit as much as you have.
And if you think any significant portion of people who call themselves libertarian only do so with regard to drugs, you're REALLY not paying attention. Sure, there are people who spend more time on that than other subjects, but the majority spend more time focusing on taxes than anything else.
There's a reason phrases like "End the Fed" and "Taxation is theft" are far more common and tied to libertarianism than anything having to do with drugs. If you de-fund government, a lot of the rest of the problems go away by default, because they can no longer be funded.
As for what I've done, I've donated to campaigns, volunteered, and voted.
I appreciate the insight; thank you.

Well, stealing is stealing, so that's still a crime whether or not drugs are involved. One can use drugs and not steal, just as one can steal and not use drugs.
I wouldn't even require life insurance. Just don't expect anyone else to carry your water if you have health issues or if you pass away and leave your family burdened.
If you do, the burden was put on your family by you, and you alone. Not anyone else for not footing the bill.

Good for him. Perhaps he can share some of his work with respect to repealing obamaKare, and abolishing the myriad agencies that effectively subject The People to BIG government slavery. Or is he only a libertarian when is comes to dope, like so many others.
I am not sure if you are serious or not, but OTtap has been against Obamacare since the beginning. Do you not know how to read?

This whole Megyn Kelly blackface controversy is interesting. Saw this video shared on twitter this morning. I remember watching these bits back in the day.

Is this all she said? "But what is racist?" Kelly asked on her show. "Because you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid that was OK, as long as you were dressing up as, like, a character."
If so, the public is dumb. And NBC cancelling her show (to give her $60M) is insane.

Blackface in any form is dumb and is racist. It's that simple folks. Kimmel doing it back in the day was cringe worthy and he himself would say that today, I'm sure.
Kelly's comments were pretty bad. She was saying that black face is not racist on Halloween. Like come on, it is...Al Roker's comments I think were spot on as he went into the history of it. There is a horrible history with blackface and Kelly either did not know or did not acknowledge that history.
Also, NBC was wanting a reason to ditch Kelly. Her ratings were awful and she had no allies in NBC. I think this was just the straw that broke the camels back.

Depending on intent, I would consider it more ignorant than racist.

Sure, ignorance, not racism is take depending on the circumstances. But, blackface is based in racism and white supremacy. It's just a bad look and take to try and defend it.

"Racism" is easily the most egregiously over and incorrectly used word in the past 5 years.

So if my son (who is white) wants to dress up as his favorite superhero for Halloween (Black Panther) he is racist? My son is autistic and actually cried when Black Panther (SPOILER) was killed at the end of Infinity War. But I suppose him wanting to dress up as his favorite character is racist...
Come on, no way you are serious. That is the stuff Kelly was talking about, dressing up as a black character for Halloween.
Shoot, even the actor who played Black Panther said people were being stupid for saying white kids shouldn't dress as Black Panther.

Ugh. Really, do I have to go into this? It's kinda obvious folks...
He can dress up like Black Panther, no problem. He just cannot be in black face. He can wear the mask and be a-ok.
Kelly was specifically talking about her friend wore black face so she could be Diana Ross. That's not cool.
So, again, costumes and masks: Ok. Painting your face black: Not ok.

If a black child wants to be Batman, Punisher, Wolverine, or Superman for Halloween, he doesn't have to do whiteface. He can just put on the costume. People will get it. It'll be okay.
Same as if a white child wants to be Black Panther, Luke Cage, Cyborg, or Blade. Luke Cage might be a touch difficult, since he just wears normal clothes, but blackface isn't going to suddenly make the costume a dead ringer.

At the end of the day......blackface will ALWAYS going to be called racist even if 99% of the time its used as a nonracist action. Funny that 99% of the the people screaming "racism" are white

Was the movie White Chicks awful? Was that demeaning? Did it hurt anybody's feelings? Did anybody get depressed? Were people rolling around on the ground like they were just shot? Did anybody get fired?
What about the movie Coming To America?

Lol ya'll are going to hurt yourselves with all of this reaching. It's so simple, and O-trap and ptown already explained it. Don't paint your face black. The end.
