And some people thought fake news met its demise last weekend; not so fast.

So a tweet from Grand Rapids PD stating there were 15,000 people downtown - total - to congratulate themselves on what a great job they did....deliberately underestimated the crowd size by over 60%?!?

NATO chief addresses congress, says Trump’s push for more defense spending from member nations is working... just in case you missed it on CNN or in the NYT and WAPO.

I think it’s great if we do some things like improve our schools and infrastructure and things that will improve our country not give it to line corporate pockets or bloat the military budget more or give it to Israel or build a wall with it

Jobless Claims Fall to 49-Year Low, Below ALL Forecasts...

That's a pretty selective metric they're using.

The BLS indicates that it's mostly just level:

https://www.bls.gov/eag/eag.us.htm

Interestingly, it DOES indicate that wages are up, even though March saw a pretty small uptick.  Over the past year, it's been a nice, regular trend upward.  That's pretty cool.

For anyone who just wants reasonable, intelligent leadership, regardless of party allegiance, this is absolute bonkers. I dknt want the president effing "trolling" opponents by playing games with human beings, illegal immigrants or not.

Anyone who cheers this is deranged.

Long before he came along......the trolling was happening.  Along with trolling, they just ignore state and federal laws they were voted in to uphold.  Trump is just readjusting points of view

readjusting? or further entrenching them?

I'd say it's the latter.

That depends.

If his job were to root out bullshit, like an ethical media outlet's would be, sure.  I like that.

But as the person who is supposed to be above that kind of petty vendetta, I expect better of the office.

In a significant win for manufacturers, President Trump issued two executive orders this week that will cut red tape and accelerate the permitting process for energy infrastructure projects. The first order addresses often-overlooked laws and regulations that have plagued the permitting process for energy infrastructure projects and updates regulations for the export of liquefied natural gas. The second order clarifies permitting for cross-border infrastructure and prevents future projects from getting caught up in years of litigation, reviews and delays. Together, these two executive orders will promote badly needed development of infrastructure to meet U.S. energy demand, create and support jobs for U.S. manufacturing workers and provide reliable and affordable energy to U.S. consumers.
