there needs to be a movie called 8 degrees of Obama that explains how everything that happens in the future directly correlates to Obama and is his fault

You mean kind of like how Obama DIRECTLY blamed Bush for everything for 8 years? He just would say things like "previous administration", "what I inherited", etc.

Just curious if you were critical of Obama for 8 years of blaming Bush or just for people doing it now to Obama?

Narrator: He wasn't.

I see Trump is cancelling his meeting with Putin at the G20 summit becuase of the "situation with Ukraine".  Is it that President T, or is it the fact that Putin played you like a harp the Annual Saps Convention last time you met and you can't face a repeat of that.

President Trump is taking his ball and going home.

Every once in a while, there is a real story in spite of the personality involved. The POTUS has no business meeting with Putin based on the current situation.

As he should.  I am sure that if we had any other president they would meet with him as he invades other countries

By far the weakest move a US president has made toward Putin was Trump's refusal to challenge him on the overwhelming intelligence our country had on Russia's efforts to sabotage a US presidential election.  "He said he didn't do it, and that's good enough for me":  Sounds like "peace in our time".

Here's a question for you Trump aplogists: Today, Trump is calling his long-time personal lawyer weak and "not a smart person".  If the guy is so stupid, what was he doing as a close confidant, advisor, employee and counsel to Trump for 10 years.  How does someone as supposedly brilliant as our president justify this?

I'm not a Trump apologist, but I have a question. Not sure what your last post has to do with your prior one, if anything. Is there a connection or are you moving on to something else?

No particular connection, except that this thread is about Trump's excellence.

Ok......i am calling out very post from here on out about Russian inference or Trump collusion in the election.  If you make that statement you need to post the direct link to irrefutable evidence to back it up.

To this date.....i dont believe anyone has found ANY evidence.

This is where it is getting so annoying and I don't bother around here anymore.

Short version...it's complicated.

There has been a shit ton of stories, testimony, indictments, and intelligent assessments stating the Russians interfered with the election. Did they directly change votes? No, but did they do everything else to try and sway the election, you are damn right they did.

The murky part is did Trump or anyone in the campaign know and did they assist? The evidence so far is not there, but there is growing suspicion that Manafort, as the campaign chief, may have known something about whatever the hell Roger Stone and Wikileaks were doing. The exact proof is still TBD and that is what we are waiting on Mueller to determine. There is also the whole Trump Tower meeting and how that plays into it. A lot of smoke, sure. That's where we have to wait and see what's what.

But, Russia did do some shady shit, the question how much did the campaign know?

Also worth mentioning, it's not the first time they've done so. Not mentioning that fact makes an implication that is incorrect at best, dishonest at worst.

Sure, but it was never to this level. They did not try this to this level in 2012 or 2008. There was not the active Facebook component in years past. Also, the Wikileaks/ Guccifer angle is what makes this worse than in previous years.

I'm far more concerned about the notion that someone's vote can be affected by something they read on fucking Facebook. I've never been sure why people encourage morons to get to the polls. I'd far prefer they stay home.

This is all complete conjecture, FWIW. The fact is that we don't know what they did/didn't do in 2008/2012, because no one cared enough to look.

"Shit ton of stories...."  thats what you have.  Stories.  Creating online clickbait and fake accounts on social media isnt interfering with elections.  Hell our media lies to us daily about something political........is that interference?  Yes if you hold it to the same standards.

THanks for making my points.....no evidence linking Trump.

"A lot of smoke"....well in the case of Clinton and the dems there is a California size forest fire right in front of you and the dems and you cant see it when it comes to election interference and rigging elections.

I'm so angry at Trump that he stood by while Russia interfered in the election and did nothing.  He was the president while this was going on.  Why didn't he do anything?

Oh wait...

I have a feeling that if Trump is proven to have done anything with Russia it will have been some shady business maneuver for building something in Russia. But not for swaying US citizens' minds by having bots post memes. And if it was for posting memes well then 4chan and reddit are going to bite the bullet too, because God damn the amount of memes generated on those sites!
Perhaps that's why the EU parliament is zeroing in on meme-sharing (Article 13)!!! They don't want the Red Scare happening in Europe again!

IT ALL TIES TOGETHER NOW

In all honesty, it's regrettable because there are actual real and concrete things to target Trump over IMO. I still have this flashback of going after Clinton for land deals and ending up only with some splatters on a blue dress.

I like how you just skipped over the last part of my post, the whole Wikileaks, Guccifer Russian army part there. It wasn't just Facebook, but the hacking of the Podesta emails corrdiantion with Wikileaks.

Well, yes and no. The Intel folks have stated numerous times the 2016 levels of Russian efforts were more than 2012 and 2008. You are correct in that we do not know everything that Mueller has right now, so that is conjecture at this point.

These are two different things.  I don't know if Trump had any collusion with the Russians.  That is what Mueller is investigating.  As far as the Russians interfering, that is the findings of US intelligence agencies.  (https://www.businessinsider.com/senate-intelligence-committee-report-russia-election-interference-2018-7)

My criticism is Trump taking the word of a man like Putin over his own country's findings.  That is weak tit as it comes.

And I also am curious how Trump employs a guy as his personal attorney, an executive at his company and a personal confidante if he is also "not a very smart person" and "weak".  What's that all about?

Shouldn't be all that surprising. He did the same with Sessions while Sessions was still working for him. This is part of Trump's MO. I don't get it, but I guess I don't really have to.
